Palin mocks Couric over CBS exit

(CNN) - As Katie Couric gets set to leave CBS News after five years in the anchor chair, it doesn't appear as if Sarah Palin will be sending any flowers.

Appearing on Fox News Tuesday, Palin mocked the CBS newswoman who told People Magazine she is looking forward to a new position that will facilitate "multi-dimensional storytelling."

"Yeah, and I hear that she wants to now engage in more 'multi-dimensional story telling' versus I guess just the 'straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen story telling,'" Palin said. "More power to her. I wish her well in her - 'multi-dimensional story telling.'"

Palin has repeatedly made clear she is still no fan of Couric, whose interview with Palin produced one of the most memorable political foibles of the 2008 presidential campaign.

In a series of interviews with Couric authorized by the McCain campaign, Palin stumbled over a number of questions, most memorably when asked, "When it comes to establishing your world view…what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read?"

Palin appeared unable to name a single publication – a performance for which she was much maligned – and later said she found the question insulting, as well as emblematic of a liberal slant in the mainstream media.

High school is long over Ms Palin, this smacks of jealousy. Ms Couric doesn't have to rely on stunts to draw attention. She actually is smart & well liked. Just once, something substantive & relevant please.

So was it Katie Couric's interview that they edited Sara Palin's responses to make her look stupid? Or was that another anchor?

Still a whiner, I see. Katie Couric was not to blame for your "deer in the headlights" responses. The responsibility rests with you and you alone. Man up, will ya?

Sarah Palin, America's dumbest person and the face of the Republican party.

Palin's like a fool who curses the rock she stubbed her toe on. She is stupid, and any questions Couric asked would have revealed that. Also, she missed a lot of good 'quitter' jokes that a more adult and confident person could have used. "Now we're both quitters," etc. Instead, Ms. Notes-on-her-hand goes for the TELEPROMPTER insult? I'll go out on a limb and assume she doesn't really know what a teleprompter is.

Notice how Palin disappeared during the budget debates while Michele Bachmann hung right in there with all the men. Palin proved she is limited on big issues but has the ignorance to handle none issues.

Hello SP, the difference between you and Couric is, she speaks English, and you? Palineese or Dubyak, it's either you or maybe Dubya can decipher what you say wether you use a prompter or not.

I hope, and the recent polls tend to indicate, the American People have figured her out. She is an angry, self-centered, it's all about me, dangerous idiot. John McCain owes American politics an apology.

Why the hell does the media insist on reporting on a nobody reality television sort of personallity like Sarah Palin? She is an IDIOT...just let her fade into obscurity......

Talk about your SOUR GRAPES. What a big spoiled brat.
Sarah Palin was humiliated by her own lack of preparedness, nothing more. If SP had witnessed an interview of a Democrat where Katie didn't do the same thorough job on the Dem that she (KC did on her (SP), ms Palin would have had an aneurism.
To make a smarmy unprovoked attack like this was not "low rent," it was NO RENT. Once more she shows her lack of grace, skill, morals and political savvy...

RUN SARAH RUN we need the comic distraction..

Sarah, had you rattled off a number of publications and books names, and maybe a little about what you read, you would have turned it around and tossed it right back in Katies face, but you didn't, because you couldn't. To make matters worse you keep bringing it back up and reminding everyone what a vindictive empty shell you really are.

Sarah Palin can only criticize and whine. She has no original positive ideas of her own.

Palin shot herself in the foot – revealing shallowness and lack of intellectual capacity. Shouldn't blame Couric for her own shortcomings. But, as usual, she stoops to _____________ ?

"Palin has repeatedly made clear she is still no fan of Couric, who's interview with Palin ..."

Note to CNN: "Who's" is a contraction of "who is". So that reads:

Palin has repeatedly made clear she is still no fan of Couric, who is interview with Palin ...

Couric is a card carrying member of the left wing media. They use interviews to personally attack republican candidates and throw softballs to the Democrats. They think the viewers are stupid.

Good thing people are doing like you said, Sarah, like when after you resigned as Governor of Alaska, you implored people to respect your personal decision and not mock it as opportunistic and a selfish shirking of a sworn duty.

So kudos on taking the high road and not kicking a lady when she's down with sarcastic snark, like the elegant and mature lady that you are, having run to be the backup to the most important political post in the world.

    Oh, wait.

one of the funniest moments of 2008 election showing the country why you should not ask for a president who you want to have a beer with! and that even today, intelligence still counts for something!

Sarah Palin does a good job of making herself look like an idiot. She doesn't need help from the 'so-called liberal media'. All Couric did was ask her a question and not even a hard one at that.

I know and can name the magazines and newspapers I read. Of course, if all I read was Guns and Ammo, I'd be embarrassed to admit it too.
