(CNN) - As Katie Couric gets set to leave CBS News after five years in the anchor chair, it doesn't appear as if Sarah Palin will be sending any flowers.
Appearing on Fox News Tuesday, Palin mocked the CBS newswoman who told People Magazine she is looking forward to a new position that will facilitate "multi-dimensional storytelling."
"Yeah, and I hear that she wants to now engage in more 'multi-dimensional story telling' versus I guess just the 'straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen story telling,'" Palin said. "More power to her. I wish her well in her - 'multi-dimensional story telling.'"
Palin has repeatedly made clear she is still no fan of Couric, whose interview with Palin produced one of the most memorable political foibles of the 2008 presidential campaign.
In a series of interviews with Couric authorized by the McCain campaign, Palin stumbled over a number of questions, most memorably when asked, "When it comes to establishing your world view…what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read?"
Palin appeared unable to name a single publication – a performance for which she was much maligned – and later said she found the question insulting, as well as emblematic of a liberal slant in the mainstream media.

The only reason she is laughing is because she doesn't know what "multi-dimensional" means.
wow - "sarah palin mocks".... who'd have thought.
Hell hath no fury,............
Everything Palin says is sarcastic. Is that what we want in a world leader? Someone who can't name a magazine or newspaper she reads and then blames the questioner! She's a money grubbing moron, who's probably laughing at us all the way to the bank.
What a Fifth-Grade mentality. Perfect for tackling adult issues.
Wow, Palin just can't get over the fact that she's a moron. She's still, after all this time, trying to blame her lack of intelligence on Couric. Congratulations republicans, you have yourself a winner. Blame everyone else for your shortcomings. You deserve failin' Palin.
Palin....what a joke. I am sick of this woman. The end.
Palin is just confused by the multisyllabic verbiage that Couric is able to utilize. Don't worry Sarah, take an excedrin and go back to your "See Spot Run" books.
Palin = single-dimensional story telling
"Palin mocked the CBS newswoman"
And Palin wants people to believe she could be president?
Unfortunately for Ms. Palin, that particular interview was very indicative of the ability she has exhibited repeatedly over the next few years. Characterizing it as an attempt by the "lamestream" media to discredit her also has not been successful with all but the most loyal of her very unique base. No worries though, Sarah, lots of crazy Republican presidential hopefuls carrying the torch for the right wing haters. Your work is done, you can return to your life of obscurity in peace.
I think Ms Palin missed a great opportunity to have a "no comment." It would have demonstrated a modicum of class.
And to sarah I say ...More power to you. I wish you well in your – 'multi-delusional story telling.'
Sarah you act like a teenage bully, geez grow up, act like an adult and try to find something to say of substance. You and you alone made yourself look like an idiot, that had nothing to do with Katie Couric. And every story I see about you in the main stream "Fox" media just proves it over and over and over again! You are embarrasing!
"When it comes to establishing your world view…what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read?"
What was so liberal about that? Couric was maligned for asking a fairly generic question. The problem is that Palin doesn't read and can't even think quick enough to answer a simple question or she could have just made something up.
And to think, this women could have been one step away from the presidency!!!
Way to go Palin. Keep up your stupid ways of dealing with people who have put you on the spot. Go away please, once and for all.
Sarah holds a grudge. She doesn't have much of a memory for lots of other things, like core principles more complicated than what can fit on a bumper-sticker,... but she sure as heck remembers anyone who's criticized her, slighted her (even imperceptibly, even in only a delusional reading of facts) or disagreed with her.
It seems Palin just can't let go after Katie Couric asked her a simple question, back in 2008, about "what magazines does she reads" and she stumbled and fumbled over an answer. Palin got exposed for who she is–a fool. And she remains bitter towards Katie for that question asked of her. How petty she is. And I'm sure Katie Couric will not lose any sleep over how Palin feels about her.
A two-dimensional character trying to lampoon someone who wants to engage in multi-dimensional story-telling? That's like a baboon trying to comprehend a thesaurus. Palin's nearly incoherent response to the news was about as intelligible as a baboon's as well.
This still doesn't remove the fact that Katie asked very very simple questions to Palin and she showed just how uneducated she really is. This was not a trick question, but it was an answer that will follow her forever. Way to go Katie!
I guess Levin Johnston was right on. She is petty and loves to hold a grudge.
Sarah Palin was, is, and will always be one of the most obnoxious and ignorant members of the far right...please quit giving her press.
Palin, you are real presidential material with your petty crap.
Comments like this from Palin only show majority of women how bitter and resentful she is. Not very Christian like or a good example to women and girls. Couric did her job and Palin made a fool of herself by advertising her ignornace to federal issues. Every time Palin opens her mouth, she only provides more evidence that she finds blame in EVERYONE else for her mishaps. She needs to learn to get thinker skin.
