Palin mocks Couric over CBS exit

(CNN) - As Katie Couric gets set to leave CBS News after five years in the anchor chair, it doesn't appear as if Sarah Palin will be sending any flowers.

Appearing on Fox News Tuesday, Palin mocked the CBS newswoman who told People Magazine she is looking forward to a new position that will facilitate "multi-dimensional storytelling."

"Yeah, and I hear that she wants to now engage in more 'multi-dimensional story telling' versus I guess just the 'straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen story telling,'" Palin said. "More power to her. I wish her well in her - 'multi-dimensional story telling.'"

Palin has repeatedly made clear she is still no fan of Couric, whose interview with Palin produced one of the most memorable political foibles of the 2008 presidential campaign.

In a series of interviews with Couric authorized by the McCain campaign, Palin stumbled over a number of questions, most memorably when asked, "When it comes to establishing your world view…what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read?"

Palin appeared unable to name a single publication – a performance for which she was much maligned – and later said she found the question insulting, as well as emblematic of a liberal slant in the mainstream media.

Palin is jealous that Couric actually has a job (and no Sarah, quitting public office to fleece a bunch of wing nuts for all of their money is not a job).

Palin can't take personal responsibility for her own ineptitude. It's easier for her to blame Katie.

Please Palin don't blame Couric for your stupidity.

Doesn't a newscaster work on news stories rather than just reading a teleprompter?? Does Palin ever think before she speaks?

If anyone would know about story telling, Sarah, it would be you. You can mock anyone you chose but one fact will always follow you. You are a quitter. When the going got tough, you quit. I guess in your world that qualifies you to criticize whoever you want. If you can't make yourself look good, make everyone else lookm as bad a s you.

The Quitter, moose-slyer Barbie, the former half-term Governor, FOX fake reality show star is way too busy fleecing the flock and raising money for the ‘Baggers to actually be the President. She’ll just wink and blink and shake her empty head so the cash will keep rolling in! No need to get involved with those messy facts and figures when your target audience has an attention span of about 10 seconds. The poor dumb republicans love someone stupider than they are!

If this is the best Palin can do to mock Katie Couric, she is not being very successful. Couric outclasses Palin by a long shot. And let's face it. Palin wasn't smart enough or well educated enough to answer her questions during that famous initial interview. Don't hold that against Couric. Was she supposed to dumb down her questions?

How is asking someone what newspapers they read "multi-dimentional story telling"? Palin is the queen of the idiots.

    Palin who???

I must say again, Thank you Katie for exposing Palin as nothing more than an illiterate pawn. Katie, and other responsible news organizations, saved America from absolute devestation at the hands of THE MOST unqualified person to ever run for any office!!

Just wait, the republican party will start to denounce Sara and her cronies in at least 4 years. She will be untouchable to any one that wants to be elected.

Well,Sarah,I would think you have the market covered when it comes to "multi-dimesional story telling".Unfortunately,it would appear that is your only attribute that would be"multi-dimensional".

Is it me or does Palin frequently come across as that bratty, arrogant, girl we all knew in junior high who use to think she determined who was popular by who she let sit at her lunch table? We need our nation's leaders to be statesmenlike...not sniping debutantes.

At least she can read and write which I sometimes doubt Sarah Palin can do. The question what does she read stumped her because she is a nit wit and and idiot.

While I'm not a fan of sour grapes (or Sarah Palin, for that matter,) after the difference in the way Couric treated the Palin and Biden interviews, I can see why Palin wouldn't be Couric's biggest fan. Couric was practically drooling over Biden during the interview, including as he expounded on FDR getting on TV after the great crash and reassuring the American people... despite the fact that Hoover, not FDR, was President during the Crash (and for the 4 years following it) and TV's weren't in public use until about 10 years later.

Ms. Palin showed the world all by herself how ignorant and stupid she is, and once again, she blames the interviewer for asking simple questions that she couldn't answer. Whatever your political affiliations are, I urge everyone not to support Ms. Palin. She is not intellectually qualified to be the leader of our country.

The Political Ticker has degenerated into childish gossip worse than the super market tabloids. Another case of the dumbing down of America. Where do we go for real news with real substance?

"Palin appeared unable to name a single publication – a performance for which she was much maligned – and later said she found the question insulting, as well as emblematic of a liberal slant in the mainstream media."

Yeah, that was a 'slanted' and 'insulting' question.
