(CNN) - It's to be determined if she has the Alaskan accent down, but actress Julianne Moore appears to have nailed the look.
People Magazine has scored the first photograph of the actress in costume as the former Alaska governor for the upcoming HBO movie, Game Change.
Moore, a four-time Oscar nominee, was tapped last month to play the former vice presidential candidate in an HBO adaptation of the book by journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann that details the inner workings of the historic 2008 campaign.

It really upsets me that people think Alaskans talk like that nitwit Palin. We don't. That is a completely affected accent that has nothing to do with the way that ANY Alaskan speaks.
O-o-h-h, I see, "Palin's doppelganger." For some reason, when I read the header, I was thinking of something else. My bad.
Tina Fey looks more like Palin.
Who the hell is going to watch movie about her .Why spending money, and people time on her stupidity. J Moore should be a shame not proud. Why people are so stupid?
Correction: Palin does NOT have an Alaskan accent. Go visit. You won't find anyone who sounds like she does. It's more like... far north North Dakota.
I wouldn't say it's very difficult to "nail the look". Palin's appearance is very distinct. I think Julianne Moore is a great actress and I mean no disrespect to her; but put that same outfit/wig/glasses on Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, etc. and you'll get the same result.
doesn't take much to act stupid!
All she need to do now Is to act as dumb as Saran Palin, and don't know what she talking about. All she does is Complain and people, and almost everything she say Is a LIE , and she RACIST and how all she does Is spread hate.
OMG!!! She is identical, but a lot smarter...
Palin does not have an Alaskan accent. She has a Palin accent.
Please fix, as an Alaskan I find it insulting.
But, is Julianne Moore a good enough actress to play someone as stupid and as phony as Sarah Palin. You'd think it would be easy, right? Just pretend that everything you're saying is a lie, even when it's the truth. Since much of what Palin parades as the truth is actually nothing more than lies, all Moore has to do is be the opposite of ethical.
Tina Fey wins.
I love Julianne Moore and can't stand Palin. That said, Palin is better looking that Moore is able to pull off, even with Hollywood help. dang.
After seeing Tina Fey's Sarah Palin impersonation, this is 2nd rate at best.
Just what we need, more than one Palin...
Only problem is that Julianne Moore is much more classier and more smarter than the original idiot from Alaska, Ms. Quitter!
Wow, I'm no fan of Sarah Palin, but Julianne Moore does indeed have that "Palin" look. She's a really gifted actress, very smart in fact. This will be quite the challenge for her, having to act as if she's got an IQ of "shoe size"
They picked the wrong actress from 30 Rock. No not Liz Lemon, Jenna – she's the real nut.
The look is easy, the hard part is getting the stupid down.
An easier question would be spell your name?
That's not Palin?! =O
There's only one person who can pull off a Sarah Palin part and that's Tina Fey!
I think McCain knew he would not beat Obama so his revenge was Sarah Palin.I have never seen anyone less qualified to be president and am really tired of hearing about her. Can't she please just go home and shoot caribou and leave the job of running this country to someone who actually has a brain.
FIRST!
Oh joy, you can immitate an idiot...that oughta work out well for you!
LoL
Sadly, controversy makes people like Sarah popular and famous. Surely there will be the "libs are so afraid of her", clueless fools, but anyone with an IQ in the positive knows that she's an ignorant b00b with a loud mouth. Then we'll have the even more superficial droolers that will say, "Sounds like Obama", to the last point in my previous sentence. However, if I added that my contention is the same thing that makes no-talent b00bs like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga famous and popular, the tables would probably turn on an axis, regarding that concept, and they would still be just as wrong in their shallow conclusions.
If we, as a society, keep moving fortunes into the hands of people like this, we are doomed. Then again, that ship probably sailed some time ago.
