Obama: 'Nobody checked my ID at the door'

Washington (CNN) - President Obama seemed to take aim at Donald Trump Wednesday evening in New York when he said the reasoning behind the release of his long form birth certificate was “trying to remind the press and trying to remind both parties that what we do in politics is not a reality show. It’s serious.”

The remarks came the same day that Trump, the businessman, reality television personality and possible contender for the 2012 GOP nomination, said he was “proud” of his efforts and took credit for the release of Obama’s long form birth certificate earlier in the day.

“Today was a fun day,” the president said as he began his remarks. “Nobody checked my ID at the door.”

    Rudy NYC:
When the truth of life is depressing, we must push on and seek higher truths.
    -------------------------------------------------–
My father in-law, a Black man. became a surgeon in St Louis Missouri during the mid 1930's. Against all odds, and definitely against the 'depressing truth' of that era. What he realized though, and I wholeheartedly subscribe to, is that in spite of whatever 'truth' you may be facing or are up against if you have the will, the ability, and the inclination you can and will overcome it and create your OWN truth. A truth that will stand as indisputable even against the raging storm of the
naysayers and the haters. Thus my sincere and utmost respect for our first Africa-American president.

Someone should have. He is a fraud and a dangerous example of the dumbing down of the American people. Ever see the movie "Idiocracy"? It is slowly becoming a reality...

I find it hard to understand how a person "not" born in this country gets the credibility to question who is or is not born in this country, regardless of who that person is.

In this case however, I think the person in question should be deported back to where they came from if they can not accept the will of the American people when it comes to electing our leaders.

Perhaps Israel or Moldavia will take her back. We have enough bigots of our own without importing more.

"Hey Obama – you've already milked as many political points you could out of this rediculous issue. And yesterday, you stated that "there's much more important issues" and that "you didn't have time for this nonsense". I agree. So why don't you follow your own advice and let it go?"

I'm sorry, but all I hear is "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!"

Right-wingers keep saying Obama is embarrassing the country on a world stage by shaking hands the wrong way with foreign leaders. Well what do you consider the constant, ridiculous conspiracy claims by them that Obama has to prove beyond unreasonable doubt that he was born in this country? Will the right-wing not stop until the whole world is laughing at us?
