(CNN) – The U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution Tuesday praising intelligence and military officials for the operation that resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden
Wonderful. Too bad this is the only reason why they'll pass a resolution. They're never so cordial when a mission is botched.

This resolution better come with hefty bonuses! All people involve should get raises including the President. Worry how to pay for it? Take it out of the congress people paychecks or tax the bankers!

Never thought I'd see the day that GOPers would be so willing to jump on the coattails of Barack Hussein Obama as they have been for the past few days now. Too bad they weren't so willing to do so when the economy tanked and President Obama was left to clean up the mess. Add OBL to the list of messes Obama has been quietly and efficiently cleaning up behind Republican rhetoric and ineptness.

Excellent. Glad to see our hard working senators are keeping themselves focused on major issues. What's next...a resolution praising themselves for coming into work 2 weeks in a row?

I hope they don't talk or don't go into great detail about the the mission work because you mite need to use it again. The media has already said to much. Everyone don't need to know the mission are how it carry out or intelligence and military officials in the operation that resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden. Our President Obama is on Point and tracking!

Congrats to the president and his team of professionals ! Most Americans are smart enough and realize that this president has had to overcome huge obstacles left in place by the previous administration, no matter how the revisionist in the GOP try and spin it. The economy will heal albeit slowly, the wars in Iraq and AF-PAC will be ended responsibly. This president is methodically revealing the GOP as the small minded, chicken-hawk, simplistic party for what they are. Hypocrites

I'm outraged! Why didn't they thank Obama? After all, HE was the mastermind behind it. *end sarcasm*

I wonder how many republican intelligence committee members who had some advanced knowledge; really wanted this mission to fail for political reasons. Guess we will never know.....

As an Independent voter. Just watching all the post from the Republicans about the Bin Laden mission. Maybe the senate would have been better off passing a resolution praising George W. Bush. The way I remember watching George W.'s prediency, in Bush's alternate unvierse Osama bin Laden gained about 40 lbs, shrunk around a foot and a half, moved to Iraq and changed his name to Saddam Hussein.
