Good move. I don't believe it would be the right thing to appear to gloat, and I think they could be used by some who believed in his cause as something to rally around.

Agree on not showing the pic. We were outraged when we saw the beheading & parading of our peoples dismembered bodies. We are better then this enemy, let’s not sink to their level.

That great no need to show and anger more of the world. We got him, move on, and no need to stoop to the level of the radicals.

Lost my vote in 2012–If you are going to run an operation like this, you need to do it 100% that means showing some kind of proof to the American people and the world.

Obama and his administration have played a difficult game but they can not face with any evident to prove Osama Bin Ladin was killed. Does they think they can play the game as "birth certificate? They are wrong ! No matter who you are, you must answer all public of American questions. American can bring you down right away if they want. That was the Liberty of America. Time will answer all things.

And so the man that somehow always finds himself in the center of a self-made conspiracy theory . . . does so again.

I think this is a bad decision. Do i think he is dead, yeah for sure. But the same people that did not believe he was American born are not going to believe this either.

To not show pictures of Osama Bin Laden will just fuel the fire that infact, he was not killed and it could have been any body that was eased into the sea off the USS Carl Vinson. The terrorists didn't flinch when showing the beheading of people that they captured. Congratulations Mr. Obama, you have given a platform for the terrorists to recruit more to their cause.

I agree with the President in regards to the release of the Bin Laden death photo. Both sides (to release or not to release) have presented sound and logical arguments for their positions. The public will have to have the confidence that the administration is being truthful. For people like myself that are aligned with the president, this is not a problem. Republican politicians that have authorization to see the photos should do so and convey their thoughts and opinions in regards to validity of the photos to their constituents, who assumedly will only believe the words of a Republican politician. These simple moves should satisfy the greater electorate. The conspiracy driven portion of the population will never be satisfied and important matters of state concern should not be dictated in an attempt to appease these people. It is just is not worth it.

Also, leaders of foreign governments and their representative diplomats should have access to see the photos to also appease the foreign press concerns.

Bin Lade is not a trophy. He is a monster that has been properly put in his place. I also am greatly impressed with the respect that has been shown to Bin Laden's body during his burial at sea. We are a great nation and a great and compassionate people, even with our most hated and feared adversaries. I'm truly proud of the USA and our president.
