I'm an Independent voter. No way would I vote for Newt, the poster boy for bought and sold politics. Nobody outside of the Republican base can stand this guy. No fan of Obama's but he'll trounce Gingrich.

What a really Pathetic example of what America can put in front of us especially at this time!

This is the best the Republicans can do? Might as well throw Palin in with him..

I think that what we see is truly an indictment on the American people that shows what this country has come down to politically. The same people that elected Bush not once, but twice !

Newt only has one thing in mind: to have a personal plane in the form of AF One. Nevah happen! What a lunatic grumpy old man.

The GOP Family Values Guy off and running. My question is this – since he became a Catholic after he was twice divorced and married for the third time, is he really divorced? Or is he really Catholic? Did he get two annullments so he can take communion? Donald Trump should get right on these things.

Let's be more accurate about the reporting CNN. This isn't Newtered announcing that he's running for POTUS in 2012. It's Newtered admitting that he's spent the past several months surrepticiously running for POTUS so he wouldn't trigger the campaign finance restrictions for his PACs etc. quite yet....and he's now coming out of that closet because, well, his pathological, narcissistic need for recognition as an "also ran" could only take so much.

Remember that song, "Send in the Clowns." That should be the GOP anthem for the 2012 election. And the GOP candidates do stir the same kinds of emotion. When they perform, you don't always know whether to laugh or to cry.

Another fanatic that would make every attempt to destroy the American middle class. A horrible choice for a presidential candidate! After resigning his seat in congress in disgrace, he should have gone away permanently.

Newt would distroy this President is a debate. Having said that, there's not one GOP candidate I'd choose. They're all weak. I'll be happy with taking back the Senate and counting on a governor jumping in for 2016.

He's got no chance in hell...I'm a Clinton Democrat.. but on the republican side I would really like to see Ron Paul win the nomination..I relate to some of his views.. especially his views on the wars we are currently fighting...end them both..and then I would like to see Mr Paul and Obama duke it out for my vote...

I remember when he was asked for opinion on Libya during Gadhafi onslaught in the beginning against civilian unarmed people, he forgot his comment at home before coming to the Pressmen. What he can do for people of America & humanity at large in the world with such serious omissions. God save the Presidency thought from tarnishing at the hands of such great aspirants.

Newt is the perfect Conservative candidate. He is both smart AND evil. Usually, Conservatives have to choose one or the other.

The thing I have never understood is how two adulterers think that they can have a committed relationship.
Adultery consist of disrespecting and lying to the victims involved. In all the associations with people he professed to have loved. he did both. Chances are that behavior still exist. I could never respect or be led by someone with that type of moral fabric.

"There are some people who don't mind if America becomes a wreck so long as they dominate the wreckage," Gingrich said. Nobody could have said it better about the Republicans.

The news media is picking the candidate to run against Obama. The ones that the news picks are known losers. The candidates that can defeat Obama the news calls “fringe elements” and will not run any stories about them. What a sick system.

Newt Gingrich Is a Joke. This man was Forced to Resign and kick out of Congress on 84 Ethics charges against him. He shouldn't even be a loud to run for President. And that not counting the two wife's he cheated on. How can a man get kick out of congress and still be able to run for President. The Tea Party Is making the Republican Into a JOKE and the bad thing about It the Republican are letting them.
