It's a shame that we have a political environment that lives on Quid Pro Quo. We need leadership that makes treaties or funds programs not because of a political gain, but because it is the right thing to do.

The Senate Republicans have vetoed more appointments over the past 2 years than what we have seen over the previous 40 years. This appointment will be named over the Memorial Day recess.
