    He can't back down. He's a Republican.
    He would be excommunicated as being "weak" and "soft."
    Oh! Oh! He would be branded a "liberal."

    Good. He also will not be re-elected. Ryan has helped the democrats immeasurably towards retaking the House and keeping the White House in 2012. Thanks, Paulie!

    Rather than complain about the tough choices required to get control of government costs as presented in Paul Ryan's plan, the Democrats should come back with another plan that accomplishes the same thing for America. But they have not. The Obama budget plan does not come close to getting a handle on our economic challenges.

    Bravo, Representative Ryan! Your plan is well constructed and serves our country better than any alternative that has been presented. You have a huge base of support with you on this plan. It works.

    We are glad you aren't backing down....
    So it can be a mill stone around your neck with which
    you and the GOP and sink to the bottom of
    the Atlantic Ocean!
    ===========================================
    And the rest of the country will join him at the bottom of the ocean thanks to the Democrats and their insatiable desire to tax, spend and borrow this country into bankruptcy.

    Paul Ryan is a lone voice for fiscal sanity in DC.

    Frank just said so well:
    I hope Ryan keeping defending eliminating Medicare while cutting taxes for the rich at least through Nov 2012. He has done more to show the true purpose of Repubs than any Dem has ever been able to do......help out the rich folks only, to hell with the rest of American citizens.
    ______________
    I only wonder why there are still "poor" and some of the "middle class" people that do not understand what the GOP/TP are all about!

    Oh really? Why are other GOP'ers running for the hills away from your slash and burn of Medicaid and Medicare? The only "base of support" are the T-Pers and the sheep

    Ryan is the poster boy for uber-capitalism. Corporations have planned over 30 years how to call all the shots and have methodically purchased the GOP over time to assure themselves of control. Sensing light at the end of the tunnel, the ultra-capitalist interests dispatched poor little Ryan to really spell things out, and nearly orgasmed at the union busting efforts...
    but america is starting to wake up to the Plutocracy that the GOP is stealthily steering this country to.

    American masses will not tolerate it.

    So close to the goal but falling short on fourth and goal, huh Mr. Ryan?

    ryan tried to take the gun out his pocket, hit the trigger and like every other republican, shot himself in the foot. his plan is to do THE EXACT SAME THING THEY ACCUSED THE DEMS OF DOING WHEN THE REPUBS WON THE WHITE HOUSE. huge medicare/medicaid cuts and cuts to social security. and now ryan is saying thats the way to fix the economy?? being a politician is easier than i thought, be the biggest hippocrit i can be by saying one thing and doing another

    Democrats do have a plan.... Full steam ahead into the financial abyss. The country will either go bankrupt or tax rates will sky rocket for everybody to support the massive welfare structure they have constructed.

    Just one problem.... the inverted pyramid will collapse upon itself because it IS unsustainable. So America must soon decide for itself. Continue down the road to eventual collapse with the Democrat plan, or try and avoid it with the Republican plan.

    and once again the GOP that claims they want to do the "will of the American people" only do so as long as they agree with it. Go ahead and not back down Ryan....you can always be backed out the door especially when it comes to the senior votes.

    "Four and the Door" is laughable: blaming not those who caused the mess but those who struggle to clean it up, and flat-out wrong about the so-called "popularity" of Ryan's plan. But hey, if Ryan's plan is enacted, let's hope it haunts you TENFOLD, "Four...". No doubt you'll deserve it. Can't wait to point and laugh at you as tape that cardboard box around around you and yours and call it "home."

    Let him have his short time in the limelight-in the end people will think "Nah..I don't think so". No worries. He looks defeated and really sad already. Hey four get a clue, his policy is definitely not a long range solutiuon.

    ----------------------–
    The President presented a budget to Congress in January, as is required by law. That is part of what the "State of the Union" Address (Jan. 20) was supposed to be all about. The Republican (April 4) resopnse was Ryan's plan, which the Democrats in House have countered their proposal. The Democratic proposals have been largely ignored because of all of the noise the Ryan Plan generated.

    Ryan's Plan projects unrealistic revenue increases in the form of unemployment dropping to below 3% within a few years, without saying where all of the new jobs would be coming from. One is forced to assume he means the financial sector because he cannot possibly mean that much growth in any manufacturing, commodity, or service industry.

    @Four and The Door –
    The GOP has proven in over a decade that they are great at spending money when it benefits the rich. They have proven over and over again that the only things on their minds are the “rich” and “corporations”. They have been proven again and again wrong with their “trickle down“ theory . They have almost pushed the country over the cliff and feel no remorse. And they attack our President and want him to fail because he serves ALL people! You know, the GOP/TP have no shame!
    I rather go with the Presidents plans and I am certain that they will work much better for the country and the future and most important for ALL Americans.

    Between Ryan himself, and "Four and The Door", that would account for THE 2 people that said they'd vote for Ryan for another term...lol

    Yep it sure does work... it'll work great at crippling future seniors and thier children with mountains of medical debts all while giving the rich a 10% tax cut in addition to doing nothing to touch the national debt for almost eighty years!

  20. DumbasRocks [R]s

    I'm glad Ryan is not backing down, because if instead he just bends over a little more, the American people will gladly do to him what he is trying to do to America.

    Four and the Door - the [D]s don't have to "come back" with a plan, because they already had one in the making. The Obama plan does EXACTLY what YOU say it does not: it begins to get a handle on our economic challenges. But your continued delusion does not surprise me, nor does your support for a [R] plan that will spell disaster for the American middle class, and therefore for America. You and your goon-like brethren have proven time and again that you much prefer FAILURE over competent leadership, after all: you preferred G.W. Bush, you preferred G. W. McCain his much older twin brother, you preferred S. Palin who took the failed ideology of the neo-cons and made it into a [R]ightwing religion...the list is endless with your pathetic delusion anout presidential leadership. The ONLY reason this country is not in an economic DEPRESSION right now is that Obama got elected, despite 50 million toothless and brainless boobs who, like you, prefer [R] FAILURE over [D] SUCCESS.

    i thought his budget actually added to the budget, and then ballance it in 70 years. come on, how many folks just born or havent born as yet will live that long. Ryan lesson we need to raise taxes on those program, light enough so that the recipiants wont notice tha extra money is leaving their checks, every month. and we do need to push up the age to 69 or 70, because most seniors are working up a storm at that age anyways. this will be a fix that seniors could live with.
