Look, this is nothing but diplomacy at it's best. They knew. We know they knew. But it is just best to, at least for now, play along like they didn't know.
Pakistan owes us. They know that. And they know that we know.
    Ya know?!

Do they mean aside from common sense? The friggin' KIDS living in the area knew bin Laden was living there!! How could most of the retired military officers of the Pakistani army not have known??!!

They know now. And we are still in pursuit of the remaining terrorists. And it sure would help if the Pakistani leadership would make bold moves to help us take care of the rest of them so that we could confidently pull down our presence in that region. The past is the past. More important is what we see happening next.

Actions speak LOUDER than words. Pakistan, to repair your image, quickly:

1.) Return the tail section of the helicopter.

2.) Turn over crates full of the logs, notebooks, hard drives, phonebooks etc. that the SEALS had to leave behind at the bin Laden compound. Federal Express can have that stuff at Langley in 1 DAY.

3.) Give up the location of the Egyptian No.2 in Al Queda and Mullah Omar of the Taliban.

4.) Ruthlessly take out lower level al Queda members hiding in YOUR SOVERIEGN COUNTRY.

5.) Sell us a sliver of land so we can establish a US Territory in the area [accessible to southwest Asia and Arabia]. We can then launch drone attacks from that land for the next 20 years to keep the terrorists scattering like roaches.

Yes, no doubt. More likely to be Pakistani incompetence than complicity. Nice to know they have 100 nukes and are building more whilest having a country full of radical islamists and AQ terrorists. Sleep well tonight world.

I don't think they knew either. I think it could be as simple as the people who knew, felt threatened enough to keep silent. What would you do if Bad Guy #1 moved onto your block? He has someone knock on your door who tells you to be quiet about it. To show I mean business I am going to blow up something once a month. I know where you and yours live, and I have plenty of bombs.

Are we talking the civilian leadership, the military leadership or the ISA? I can see the Prime Minister being kept in the dark, especially as many of those in that office would not have "need to know". What I have a problem with is bin Laden basically lived for over 5 years within a short walk of their Army Officer's Training school. You tell me that the ISA didn't know about that? Especially if you build a house close to 10 times the size of other houses in the area, keep the windows shuttered so you cannot see who is living there, and having armed guards within a double-security gate.
If our folks buy that, then it means one of two things – the Pakistani Leadership is lying to us or they are so stupid they couldn't find their way down a one-way street with a road map and GPS. Which would you rather believe?
