Disturbance in House chamber during Netanyahu's speech

(CNN) - A woman was removed from the House Chamber by U.S Capitol Police Tuesday after interrupting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to a joint meeting of Congress.

Police escorted her out of the chamber and she was heard screaming "equal rights for Palestine" loudly on the third floor of the Capitol outside the chamber.

She also yelled, "The occupation of Palestine is indefensible."

U.S. Capitol Police appear to be taking her out of the building for processing.

Unbelievable! Israel has occupied, humiliated, politically marginalized and economically devastated the Palestinian people and NOW they are out to do the same to Americans. Our President was humiliated on the floor the treasured and symbolic American institution. Supporters of the peace process are called anti – Semites and while we can't "afford" to help American homeowner, small business men and women or our Veterans, we give this aggressor state billions a year officially, and tens of billions unofficially. I work in the Bay Area and have Israeli's lobbying to move tech companies to Tel Aviv. What in the world is going on? Thomas, you are right to ask, when did we elect an Israeli member of congress?

Mature "I can't believe Americans are sitting back and letting a foreign President come into America and disrespect our President."

Obama is the one who made a massive mistake and disrespected Israel, one of our most loyal and long time allies. His "misstatements" only gave fuel to terrorists. It's Netanyahu job to defend his country. Reading through the transcript, I don't see anything he said as disrespectful to the president or our country whatsoever. He certainly didn't throw the US under the bus like Obama did to Israel. Obama can claim "misrepresentation" all he wants, but he knows he screwed up.

Spare me the "its all palestinian land, give it back and leave arguement". The land we call the USA was all native american land until we took it through oppression, repression, agression, and depression. Israel has the same right to stay in israel as we have the right to be here, on this land. Don't hold double standards. Unless we give the remaining natives all of their land back, pick up and leave for europe, we have no right to ask israelis to do it. In fact, the difference between us and Israelis is that we committed genocide on the natives, we took away their voice. The israelis did not commit genocide against palestinians, palestinians still have their voice.

WAKE-UP-AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our President is right beyond comprehension. Netanyahu is not wearing any clothes. Insanity to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result. I see the elephant in the room and it's taking up too much space. Saying nothing yet talking loud.

Netanyahu is a bully. I for one want the U.S. to stop all Foreign Aid, we would save billions! That includes no aid to Israel.

    @ MATURE
The president does command respect when first taking office. From then on he must to continue to earn other's respect. This president has done very little to maintain any respect that he may have had when taking office. He has made the USA weaker in our enemies mind and a trator in our allies mind.

All of congress is on the take... Bravo Barack Obama for standing up to this douche bag... You have now sealed my vote for 2012... It's time POTUS stand up and talk strait went it comes to israel... They do nothing but abuse the US and our good will towards them... They take billions in US tax payer money to bribe our congress and senate in the form of gifts and donations with our own money in the name of friendship... Nobody on earth need a best friend like israel and Barack know it and hates it just as bad as I do... For that i salute him... He must of been glad to leave for Europe...

How can you guys back someone who disrupts a foreign Prime Ministers speech? That seems to be extremely disrespectful to another country.

No one has defended the person who interupted the speech. You are equating defending Obama's remarks with defending the remarks of some protestor. I'll be polite and call it stereotyping.
