(CNN) - A woman was removed from the House Chamber by U.S Capitol Police Tuesday after interrupting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to a joint meeting of Congress.
Police escorted her out of the chamber and she was heard screaming "equal rights for Palestine" loudly on the third floor of the Capitol outside the chamber.
She also yelled, "The occupation of Palestine is indefensible."
U.S. Capitol Police appear to be taking her out of the building for processing.

This is ALL Palestinian land. Give it back. Those people can go back to Europe...where they came from. If the West and US like them so much, they won't mind having them back.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha - Israel must be here to collect their annual check. We BOUGHT their freedoms for them, and that nutjob comes over here spreading his dislike for us.
Did she mean palestine or hamas?
Netanyahu is a republican – a dictator – it's HIS way or get lost.
There is never compromise for power-hungry dictators.
When was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu elected president of the United States ?
I missed that election !
"Processing"? In what way? Like 'Soylent Green'?
This is what Obama was referring to when he made his remark about the borders being a starting point for negotiations. Using those historical borders as a starting point, it forces those who oppose Israel to recognize its' right to exist. Netanyahu twisted the meaning of the words because he does not seek peace. Never has.
Bebe should be careful at the way he treats our president and our government if he wants us to cooperate. His public treatment of President Obama by selectively editing the President's words was in really bad form. Israel should think twice about having this guy as their leader.
This is a crying shame that these people are even allowed anywhere close to the Isralia Prime Minister but this is what you get with Obama. He doesn't care who embarrasses AMERICA AS LONG AS IT'S EMBARRASSED. WHERE IS ALL THE MEDIA HYPE THAT WAS PUT OUT ON TH KATRINAN AFFAIR TO BENEFIT THE NEW ORLEANS PEOPLE. MORE PEOPLE HAVE DIED IN THE iWOAN FLOODS AND MORE DAMAGE BUT NOTHING IS BEING SAID. WHERE WERE THE NATIONAL GURAD, FEMA TRUCKS. OF COURSE YOU DON'T NEED THE NATIONAL l f GUARD for no one is stealing tvs and looting unoccupied houses. or shooting at the emergency workers.
Does anyone here study history? After four wars of aggression in twenty years by all of its Arab neighbors, Israel conquered and seized the land from which those attacks were launched. This is the primary reason there have been no major, unified offenses against Israel since 1967. Israel would not have the land in the first place if they had not been attacked repeatedly from it, much less would they feel the need to keep it.
If Netanyahoo wants to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, he needs to do something about it then ha? Since when does a foreign leader come to our country and get a voice in our Congressional body? Can we get Iran to make such a presentation to our Congress? How about Syria and Saudi Arabia and Egypt and Good Christ the whole EU? This is OUTRAGEOUS and the GOP sat by gloating at the controversy they caused right? WHERE ARE THE JOBS, that's what they ran on.
There is no Palestine...not should there be one..!
I'm sorry but why is he over here giving a speech on his plans for over their, just asking.
Has any of our neighbouring country's representative, Mexican or Canadian president, ever talk to our Congress?
The Israli insult toward our president during the photo shoot shows just how they push us around when they are the biggest recepient of foreign aid of any country in the world. Their lobby owns our congress and Israel does what they want to and when they want to with the blessings of the American congress. The protester has a point.
Chris, You're spot on. How some posters here can point a finger at Israel is beyond understanding. By their reasoning, they should have let those countries wipe them off the map.
boot jack speech to the people who support and finance his country is not smart...
Very eloquent and well spoken. Netanyahu your words were beautiful. I am waiting to hear such eloquent words and a compromise from the other side.
I can't believe Americans are sitting back and letting a foreign President come into America and disrespect our President. Even if you agree or disagree with Pres. Obama, What Netanyahu did was very disrespectful to the American presidency and the American People. This will set precedent for other leaders to do the same to other American President, Unless we care more about Israel than we do America. To read my fellow Americans cheering that Netanyahu schooled President Obama is just sad, we are giving away our world respect because we disagree with the current President. This mindset is very destructive and will bring about our demise. No matter our disagreements our Loyalty should always be to America. This did not just start with Pres. Obama, Pres. Bush went to Israel and call his fellow Americans (DEMS) Appeasers of terrorist and i know it was for the constant attack to stop the Iraq war. We really need to take a step back and stop this soon.
How can you guys back someone who disrupts a foreign Prime Ministers speech? That seems to be extremely disrespectful to another country.

Your history began in 1947. Who was on the land in the decades before that? And before that? Obama's comment, (which has been US/Isreeli policy for decades prior to Netanyahu) is a position that demands Palestinians recognize the state of Israel and its' right to exist.
Netanyahu's finger pointing at Obama was highly offensive, out of line, out of order, and "indefensible". His remarks about the border actually imply that he denies the right of Palestinian state to exist. In other words, no peace is fine with him.
@ Mature, I could not agree more. It is time to stop the blantent disrespect for our President, especially on USA turf. And when since did a foriegn leader get a pass to address our congressional body???? But aside that, as you right wing, Jihadist Republicans have the right to spew any crazy lie that conjures up in your pea brain, that lady had to right to speak out. Oh anf by the way Palinhope, I am only acknowledging your ignorance because it is comical. You are an idiot and obviously not a true American, so you and your brain dead messiah Sarah, go join your jihadist commrades and get out of our country.
If a friend was hurt and needed assistance i would be inclined to help but when coming to his rescue is compromising my ability to exist in the world and that no matter the level of advice given he sticks to his on devices and places me in harms way- then i must question my relationship to this friend. How can you come into my house and talk asthough it is i who is receiving the hand outs- at the expense of my children and turn my family against me because it serves your greater good. Time and again i will fight by your side when you are on right side of the dispute but the road you now travel will place you on a collusion course with peace and a confrontation with the almighty.Absolutely nothing is a given .
Hmmm. Obama is so interested in peace for the middle east, but is in Ireland when the Prime Minister is here. Better photo op drinking Guinness, Mr. President?
