Washington (CNN) – Fox News Channel said Thursday that Sarah Palin will remain on air as a paid contributor, despite renewed speculation over whether she will run for president.
Palin's political action committee announced she was launching a week-long bus tour Memorial Day weekend, beginning in Washington and heading to sites of historical significance on the East Coast.
The return to public appearances comes as she prepares to debut a flattering movie about her career next month in Iowa, and reports said she was buying a house in Arizona.
Asked by CNN if there was any change in Palin's role or if there was discussion of a deadline for a decision by Palin, Fox News Executive Vice President of Programming Bill Shine said in a statement, "We are not changing Sarah Palin's status."
Fox News had forced other contributors to make decisions about their presidential aspirations. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum were suspended and had their contracts terminated in May. And after questions over whether he might make another run, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckaee announced on May 14 he would skip the presidential race and remain host of his Fox show, "Huckabee."
Unlike Gingrich and Santorum, Palin has not set up any kind of potential campaign infrastructure or taken steps towards a potential candidacy in early states at this point.

She's not running anything but her mouth and that's only to pad her pockets with more money. This woman is pulling a "Trump" on the media. She knows her stock has plummeted and she is starving for attention. The tour is nothing more than propaganda to excite her base into loosening their pocket books.
Of course not, Palin gets air time where FOX does not have to provide equal time to the opposing party. Also, she collects those checks, got to love her ethics!

Is it even legal for Palin to use her PAC funds on what, at first blush, amounts to a family vacation touring *sites of historical signifance* on the East Coast? I don't normally contribute to PAC funds, but were I to, I am absolutely certain my donations wouldn't be given for a candidate (in $arah's case - a pretender) to be using on frivolous vacations with a gawking media in attendance.
FOX needs to dump the lunatics if they ever want mainstream America to take them seriously. Palin, Hannity, their morning crew, Beck and others are just hate and lie mongers. No one trusts FOX and no one watches FOX except the racist tea baggers.
FOX has become a jioke. I refuse to watch ANY shows on FOX because of their penchant for lying and slandering the President.
Duh. Even if she is planning on running, she's going to accept as much campaign money...I mean "wages"...from Faux Noise as possible...right up unti the point when it would become illegal and then they'll cut it off.

Please spare us your bus tour of historical sites! You can do stupid at the homestead without spending all that gas money confirming your ignorance on the road. May I suggest an alternative: stay home and bone up on American history starting with the native indians, Columbus, Isabella and Ferdinand!

Sarah Palin has such a strong and growing base of support she can do this whole campaign on her own schedule and she will do just fine. She is absolutely in control and I look forward to watching her campaign get out there and make it happen. Americans love a historic election ( Oh, did w learn that lesson! ) and she would be excellent as the first woman President.
I look at it this way, she makes her little historical tour starting this weekend... She has her movie, and she endorses whoever she likes that is running this cycle and the next in 2014 and hope she gets the right people in and then she makes a run in 2016 when the democrats have to have someone new... She knows she can't beat Obama, so she will just sit back and stir the pot and try to get her people in where she wants them, that also gives her 4 more years to learn more...
She has already been adding to her resume with some of the stuff she has done in the last few months... Her middle east trip got her foreign knowledge kicked up a notch, even if she did say the same stupid stuff... Whoever is handling her, is going to try to get her as many allies as they can, and try to groom her up as much as possible and run her in 2016 against a new democrat,,,
