Palin rolls out 'vision of the future' in video

(CNN)-What begins with the howl of a grizzly bear and ends with a promise that "our best days are yet to come?"

The promotional video that caps off a roll-out announcement for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's bus tour.

The video, produced by the same duo behind Palin's 2010 "Mama Grizzlies" spot and released Friday, follows Palin's Thursday reveal of her "One Nation" bus tour. The tour begins Memorial Day in Washington, D.C. and travels "up through New England," according to the SarahPAC website.

"We have a vision for the future of our country," the self-proclaimed "mama grizzly" declares in a voiceover narrating scenes of towns and citizens across America.

She singles out Republican founding fathers Washington and Lincoln, as well as her oft-quoted GOP icon Ronald Reagan as figures who have passed down the "enduring truths" of freedom and the Constitution "to you."

The potential presidential contender stirred up speculation about whether she would seek the GOP nomination in 2012 with the "One Nation" tour announcement and news that a pro-Palin feature film would debut in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa.

And though exact cities on the tour have yet to be disclosed, a Palin source told CNN that stops will be historic sites along the East Coast "that were key to the formation, survival and growth of the United States of America," including the Civil War battlefields at Gettysburg and Antietam, Philadelphia - to visit the Liberty Bell - and a visit to the first-in-the-nation-primary state of New Hampshire.

Perhaps hinting at her future plans, Palin assures, "We know our best days are yet to come."

Listen to the Political Notebook as Candy Crowley, anchor of CNN's State of the Union, and Bob Costantini discuss Sarah Palin's bus tour and Tim Pawlenty's truth comments. Plus, Memorial Day weekend "Poli-Synch."

The republican party has become a joke, especially with this knucklehead standing at the center of the field as it's spokesperson lately. As being from Reagan country, he would be appauld at the current party and the poor representatives that are claiming to be republican. I am sure that he would NEVER endorse this 1d10t, nor the others claiming to be republicans. I am also sure that any lucidity he had during the finally years of his life, he probably wished he had ignored Billy Graham and the pharmaceutical companies and supported stem cell research in the 80's so his Alzheimer's and other diseases would have either been cured or limited in it's scope of disability and impact on surviving family members.

Her using the moniker "Mama Grizzlies" is an insult to bears everywhere and I pray that the bus has all kinds of mechanical problems so that this "circus" never gets underway. I could get ugly, so enough said.

Sarah, keep it up and you are going to get your feelings hurt. Really, most of us don't care for you. I know this because Katie Couric did a poll before she left.

Her icon Reagan would be labeled a flaming liberal by the GOP'/Tea Party these days. Reagan tripled our dept during his term yet these people praise his name.

    Dear CNN,
Please stop using the euphemisms "turns heads" and "raises brows" on your homepage. It makes me think the whole country is made up of people with cricks in their necks and mildly surprised looks on their faces. I don't mind it every once in a while, but surely you could come up with something more original and not use the same tired, old saying every damn day. Thanks.

Now really, would anyone want some woman known as Mama Grizzly as a president. Besides the fact that she shoots anything walking on 4 legs!

Palins definition of "our best days are yet to come." and the rest of America's definition are vastly different. She has absolutely no clue on what the average American needs. We need health care, and to hold price gauging corporations held accountalbe for their actions. Yet, she would love to see people suffer without health care, and to see us nickled and dimed to death. Big mama Grizzly has not met momma grizzly, when threatened, and when she does, she is in for a eye opening awakening....reality is, she has no clue; her rose colored glasses will then become clear.

  17. A True Republican

It is a shame that she is even allowed to call herself a Republican. Please Sarah, become an Independent or create your own "Alaskitan" party. Since I was a young college student, I always associated Republicans as the educated, business owners of America. Well spoken, informed, understanding of the complexity of issues, and someone others looked to for well informed solutions. Mrs. Palin is none of those. She is uneducated and basks in the glow of ignorance. Her so called solutions and ideas are appealing only to the simpletons of the world. Please retire from the political arena or s top calling yourself a Republican. Either option will suffice.

She singles out Republican founding fathers Washington and Lincoln... Go read a book Sarah. The Republican Party was founded more than 50 years after Washington's death and Washington did not have any party affiliation while Lincoln was the first Republican Party nominee elected president he was not one of the founding fathers.

I look at it this way, you are either going to run for President or you are not. It is not sort of, or maybe. When some one does that, I don't want them as my President. It shows me they can't make a decision. But that is me. Ms Palin can throw her hat in the ring, but that doesn't mean much. The general election is the key to a win. She is just stringing people along to sell her goods. Kinda like Trump. It has become a circus, I think it disgraceful.
