Palin rolls out 'vision of the future' in video

(CNN)-What begins with the howl of a grizzly bear and ends with a promise that "our best days are yet to come?"

The promotional video that caps off a roll-out announcement for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's bus tour.

The video, produced by the same duo behind Palin's 2010 "Mama Grizzlies" spot and released Friday, follows Palin's Thursday reveal of her "One Nation" bus tour. The tour begins Memorial Day in Washington, D.C. and travels "up through New England," according to the SarahPAC website.

"We have a vision for the future of our country," the self-proclaimed "mama grizzly" declares in a voiceover narrating scenes of towns and citizens across America.

She singles out Republican founding fathers Washington and Lincoln, as well as her oft-quoted GOP icon Ronald Reagan as figures who have passed down the "enduring truths" of freedom and the Constitution "to you."

The potential presidential contender stirred up speculation about whether she would seek the GOP nomination in 2012 with the "One Nation" tour announcement and news that a pro-Palin feature film would debut in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa.

And though exact cities on the tour have yet to be disclosed, a Palin source told CNN that stops will be historic sites along the East Coast "that were key to the formation, survival and growth of the United States of America," including the Civil War battlefields at Gettysburg and Antietam, Philadelphia - to visit the Liberty Bell - and a visit to the first-in-the-nation-primary state of New Hampshire.

Perhaps hinting at her future plans, Palin assures, "We know our best days are yet to come."

Listen to the Political Notebook as Candy Crowley, anchor of CNN's State of the Union, and Bob Costantini discuss Sarah Palin's bus tour and Tim Pawlenty's truth comments. Plus, Memorial Day weekend "Poli-Synch."

And that poor bear only had 5 minutes to live after that roar. He is now a sofa accessory in her tv room in Alaska. Such a patriot...A bus and everything. Reminds me a little of the Koch brothers paid off tea party express 'grassroots' movement.

Nation – Sarah Palin is a marshmallow bigot. We can do so very much better.

Palin's handlers appear to think that image is far more important than substance to an impressionable electorate.

the sad thing is, your average conservative thinks that the republican party of Lincoln's time has anything to do with the Republican party of today.

We don't need a wanna-be movie star for a president. We need someone with intelligence, integrity, dependability, honesty, and the ability to get along with people who think differently than you do. None of which describes Palin. It burns me up that she thinks we are so stupid as not to see through her self-promotion as a short-cut to the presidency. That's not how it works. I think she is in for a rude awakening!

Oh man, SNL just had their season finale last Saturday.
Where is Tina Fey when we so desperately need her?
Maybe she could do a guest spot on Daily or Colbert?

Sarah is reported to have said something dippy about Lincoln being a founding father recently, but there is nothing in her new video about that. Why is CNN now calling Lincoln a founding father in this article? For that matter, why is CNN calling George Washington a Republican president? Founding father George died in 1799, the origins of the Republican party were in the mid-1850s. Did he time travel? George was an independent with Federalist leanings. The Federalists stood for a strong national bank and a strong national government - not exactly policies of the current GOP. The Federalists were, however, the party that promoted the interests of the wealthy in their day, so there is perhaps a wisp of a connection.

Hey CNN Political Unit, got history?

I'm no historian, but at least I knew that Washington could not have been a Republican. One would think CNN's political unit would have some inkling, too. It took only a few minutes on the web to find a credible consensus on the above details.

How many grizzlies do you know who live in $1.7 million dollar mansions in Scottsdale? She will campaign through twitter and movies/videos without ever having any contact with professional journalists, or to answer any hard questions from anybody except Hannity, such as "what's your middle name...now take your time"

Maybe she should go to SC where the first shots were fired in the Civil War. She needs t o learn about that one, because she and her followers have democrats buying guns and waiting for them to fire the first shot AGAIN. You see, folks, democrats have 2nd amendment rights too, and we usually buy out guns legally and register them.

all she wants to do is make money of the dumb schmucks that gravitate towards her fake populist image. she just bought a $1.7million dollar house in Arizona. Her family has lived off the government for years. She is a complete & total fraud.

Will she make a stop in Motown, USA, where the "Motown Sound" was created and rolled out across the globe as the sound of American music that's still a benchmark in quality 50 years later? Does Palin care about Motown?

Three years ago, this woman was a "nobody". Thanks to John McCain, now we can't seem to get rid of her. What strikes me as so amusing (and yet, alarming, at the same time) is that, politically, she's still a "nobody". But she's out there running her mouth as though she has all this political knowledge and would actually consider a run for President of this country. It blows my mind! She can't put together a coherent sentence, and yet, because John McCain unthinkingly (and quite stupidly) tapped her as his vice-presidential running mate, suddenly she's out there speaking as though she's qualified to run for President. SERIOUSLY?! Let's take a look at those qualifications, shall we? Five schools and numerous years to get a degree in.....wait for it......Communications! Beauty pageant contestant. Governor of Alaska (QUIT mid-term to pursue reality TV opportunity). Yeah. On the other hand, if she actually launches a campaign, that's a guaranteed win for Obama, so I guess I should actually hope for that!!

Sarah's vision is so backwards and twisted that anyone who believes it is bonkers....I'd rather be a lioness than a grizzly mama anyday.....and please don't give us anymore videos of your kids or pretend props of courage....you quit, you lost and you do not represent the wisdom and intelligence of today's woman, in fact, you are a huge embarrassment!
