Palin rolls out 'vision of the future' in video

(CNN)-What begins with the howl of a grizzly bear and ends with a promise that "our best days are yet to come?"

The promotional video that caps off a roll-out announcement for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's bus tour.

The video, produced by the same duo behind Palin's 2010 "Mama Grizzlies" spot and released Friday, follows Palin's Thursday reveal of her "One Nation" bus tour. The tour begins Memorial Day in Washington, D.C. and travels "up through New England," according to the SarahPAC website.

"We have a vision for the future of our country," the self-proclaimed "mama grizzly" declares in a voiceover narrating scenes of towns and citizens across America.

She singles out Republican founding fathers Washington and Lincoln, as well as her oft-quoted GOP icon Ronald Reagan as figures who have passed down the "enduring truths" of freedom and the Constitution "to you."

The potential presidential contender stirred up speculation about whether she would seek the GOP nomination in 2012 with the "One Nation" tour announcement and news that a pro-Palin feature film would debut in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa.

And though exact cities on the tour have yet to be disclosed, a Palin source told CNN that stops will be historic sites along the East Coast "that were key to the formation, survival and growth of the United States of America," including the Civil War battlefields at Gettysburg and Antietam, Philadelphia - to visit the Liberty Bell - and a visit to the first-in-the-nation-primary state of New Hampshire.

Perhaps hinting at her future plans, Palin assures, "We know our best days are yet to come."

Listen to the Political Notebook as Candy Crowley, anchor of CNN's State of the Union, and Bob Costantini discuss Sarah Palin's bus tour and Tim Pawlenty's truth comments. Plus, Memorial Day weekend "Poli-Synch."

This is a very well made video. Gorgeous imagery. Doesn't say anything, though. Oh, and by the way, noting the "Under God" still doesn't require worshiping the biblical god. There are lots of gods out there, and they are not precluded in our historical, foundational documents. Personally, I would prefer Loki or Odin, plus Freya (of Nordic legend), though some may prefer Zeus, Apollo, and Hera (of Greek mythology.)

Gov. Palin was advised after the 2008 election by friend and foe alike that if she intended a political future for herself, she would have to do a better job of convincing the electorate that she had a substantive grasp of the issues.

Her "Mama Grizzlies" video did nothing to advance her status with the doubters, and it appears that this one is not going to do any better. A litany of slogans and inspirational quotes may move those who already regard her highly, but her challenge now is to win new supporters.

She doesn't seem to grasp the situation she's in.

Does she know Washington wasn't a Republican? He kind of didn't have a party affiliation and even went as far as warning America to stay away from political parties in his farewell address. But hey, what do I know? She's Sarah Palin and God forbid someone tell her she's honestly wrong about something.

Although I was never too much against Sarah Palin I didn't feel she was prepared to lead before and it apears that she has not changed my mind not one bit. Poor Tod because although she is attractive without a doubt if I had to listen to that voice everyday that would 'suck'.

Oh, I can't bear to think of that bus driving up through New England on and off of I-95. I hope there are a lot of protesters; or maybe not....just ignore her; maybe just a few fringe groups of over-weight white tea baggers dressed in stupid costumes with ugly small-minded signs and hats. I wish the press would not give it much time, but after the NYT's article the other day, and CNN's focus. this meglo-maniac and rabble-rouser's head will swell. Maybe this along with the fire in [her] belly, the fire in [her] belly, the fire in [her] belly, the fire in [her] belly will direct her to run for the GOP nomination. Obama 2012~

Last time I checked, Washington was a Federalist, in favor of a powerful central government over the sepatate states, not exactly on the line with the supposedly smaller, 'hands-off' approach of the GOP and Tea-Party... Not sure whether the above was what Palin's message or CNN's interpretation...either way, someone needs better fact-checkers... More monopolizing of our school-book history by the far-White, er Right...

Interesting nobody has posted a comment in six hours this has been online. In reality, we're all tired of this woman except for a few on the far right.

Do grizzlies howl? I thought that was wolves! Anyway, If Palin continues in the pro-BigOil, pro-Big Biz, pro-Rich rut& doesn't take the average Americans needs into serious consideration (not just lip service), she will not bring any luster to the lackluster Rep. line-up, as she has promised! She might as well sit down & focus on her reality career! We already have enough GOP'ers trying to strip every ounce of necessities, (schooling, healthcare), in the name of balancing the budget, while giving the afore mentioned Bigs every subsidy & advantage! Bye, Grizzly Mama!

"Grizzly" is exactly what this sounds like. A bunch of money being spent by somebody. Follow the money – see who's footin' this show. Gettysburg; Antietam – does she remember what that was about? Ya' think she'll be there preaching about States Rights and seccessionism? When you disagree with a Republican administration, you're told – "Why don't you just move to another country if you think it's so bad here". When the Democrats are in, it's all about everybody gettin' their guns and excercising their second amendment rights – what ever your interpretation might be today. Good Luck America!!

If Sarah Palin would bother to pick up a history book, she would learn that the Republican Party is an invention of the mid 19th century. Therefore, George Washington could not have been a Republican. He was a Federalist, and the Federalist Party stood for government intervention in the economy to help it grow, among other ideas that she would disagree with today. But I guess that picking up a history book is not something you can do while preparing to gun down a moose.

Looked at it. 52 seconds, and no vision. How can you claim to have a vision of Freedom, when that has been done already. She is only restating what has been said. The problem with this is Republicans don't want freedom at all. They only want the freedom to screw everybody over, and they know that the only thing preventing them from doing this is the government.

Anyway, what better describes a more perfect union is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not the Constitution. This is something Conservatives no nothing about. Why? Becaues they're not Christians. They're Pharisees.

"our best day it yet to come." And, what day would that be Sarah? And, who is this "We" you are speaking about? You surely are not speaking for me? For me, the best day would be, when Obama walks up to that podium, and swear in as president for another four years. To see the camera pan, and find you and your bitter, soul-less compatriots, with a look of shock and awe. Mr. Obama is not perfect, but I can guarantee that none in your party, would have survived the kind of undermining that you, the other Tea Party folks, and the Republicans, have done-from day one-to this president. The attacks have been and continue to be relentless. Yet, Mr. Obama has maintained a dignity that will be hard to match. He is a leader with decency and class, and Sarah, Mr. Obama has America's best at heart. I'm certain you can not say you have America as your priority. So, go ahead and do that tired "Mama Bear" thing that you do, but this time, try it with some sincerity.
