Washington (CNN) – Sarah Palin remained coy about her presidential intentions during a visit Monday to the National Archives in Washington, D.C. as part of her "One Nation" bus tour.
The former Alaska governor said she is "still kind of contemplating a run," but was optimistic about Republicans' chances of winning back the White House in 2012.
Her bus tour started Sunday with a stop at the "Rolling Thunder" rally on the National Mall. The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee later visited the Lincoln Memorial and the World War Two Memorial, according to her website. Over the next few days she is scheduled to make stops at historic sites in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
But she pushed back on the idea that the bus is a sign she's running for president.
"This isn't a campaign bus," Palin said. "This is a bus to be able to express to America how much we appreciate our foundation and to invite more people to be interested in all that is good about America and to remind ourselves we don't need to fundamentally transform America, we need to restore what's good about America."
Along with her husband Todd and daughters Bristol and Piper, Palin is expected to head to the Civil War battlefield in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania Monday, continuing to spread her message on Memorial Day.
"The mission that we're on is to highlight America's foundation and that's a nice thing that we're getting to do, bring the family along for the ride but making sure the people are aware of where America came from," Palin said.

Just as Trump did, she is sucking the air out of the Republican's message right now. Romney, Gingrich, Pawlenty, Bachmann and others must just be livid because she is getting all the attention. It is kind of bewildering and speaks to the shallow pool of Republican candidates that Palin can garner so much of the media coverage. It also speaks to the shallow coverage of the whole political spectrum by the media.
Sarah's office is always on the street. Having a chair, table and people coming into her room to see her, will always remain just a dream.
The next time she's on TV, close your eyes and JUST LISTEN.
Sarah Palin is the first to complain about the media but she ALWAYS loves to be in front of the cmaera. She loves attention which is why she has yet to make a commitment on a POTUS run. You guys stop giving her so much coverage and watch what happens.

When you laugh at the idea of Sarah Palin running for office, remember that this is the Republican Party you are placing so much faith in– the same party that sold the Repubs on Wisconsin on Scott Walker, the party that promotes Paul Ryan’s budget plan, the party that gave us two terms of George W Bush. This is the party that continually gets Americans to vote against their own economic interest and liberty. Is there anything the Republican Party can’t sell to their own base?

Being President requires hard work, and Palin shows daily that she's not up to the task. Besides, there's no way she's giving up that generous paycheck from fox...being the president doesn't pay enough for the attention hound.
Just be thankful every day that McCain did not win, between the two of them they would have started a war with every country they could and there would have been no recovery in the economy. Palin has no record to stand on or one single policy that would help the country and she will never ever gain support past her base, she will always have her little fan base but to gain new support you have to have your own ideas and some experience and she has neither. The five colleges and being a bad mayor and the worst Alaskan Governor in history will not suffice.

I cannot imagine the Republican Party will have Palin running against Obama. It could be a debacle for them, and for us as a nation. Although I am a liberal and certainly hope for an Obama victory, I think we need a dialog during the next presidential run. It would be good for the nation, both parties, and for Obama especially since he so willing to listen to others.

Palin NEVER got over her VP lost. She NEVER got over McCain not letting her speak on Election night. She never got over her bitterness over her Couric interview. In her delusional one brain cell mind, she thinks that she is qualified to be POTUS even though she sounds and comes off like a idiot to most of us. God help this girl. It would be great to see Sarah Palin put together a run for 2012 but for now, she is absolutely correct. The message right now is important to get in front of people. We can do better than the path Obama and the Democrats have put us on. We can be responsible with our resources and we can manage what we have to be the great country again for the benefit of the population rather than the government. The federal government works best when it is doing for the people and not just the politicians. Raising taxes is not for the benefit of the people. Out of control spending is not for the benefit of the people. Unemployment lingering at 9% of the working population is not for the benefit of the people. Being a strong, efficient, competitive economic powerhouse is for the benefit of the people, every American now and in the future. We all benefit much more from a large economy than we do from a large government.

The Democrats and Independants will still have the Republican budget plan and Medicare plan ringing in their ears. I think Americans have had their fill of Hollywood in Washington. They will elect someone who is capable of taking control of the federal government and providing much needed leadership back to economic stability and a shot at a decent living on Main Street and not just Wall Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
Actually, this is a "what came first, the chicken or the egg" moment. Donald Trump has been in the public eye a lot longer than Sarah Palin, yet she started milking the Tea Partry faithful of their money with her "I'm thinking about it" scam two years before Trump did. I disagree. I may be cynical, but I think most voters need a super star to shake them out of voter apathy. How many voters walk into the voting booth clutching their local newspaper's "recommendations" so they'll know who to vote for? More than you would think.
I still say that to be technical about it she has less right to be president then Obama did with the controversy over natrual born which was never truely defined in the constituion but later defined in a court ruling.
