Romney, take two

(CNN) - In lieu of a public event on Memorial Day, Mitt Romney sent a twit pic to his followers of his family, featuring the former Massachusetts governor in a polo shirt with slightly disheveled hair.

The new image is a far cry from the stuffed shirt of the 2008 election, when Romney appeared at event after event with perfectly coiffed hair, a perfectly pressed suit and a perfectly tied tie, an image with which late night comedians and political observers had a field day.

Round two, in 2011 has revealed a slightly altered Romney. He appeared tie-less in the video to announce his exploratory committee and in a recent speech to explain the Massachusetts health care plan that has drawn criticism because of its similarities to the national plan.

His sleeves were even rolled up at a recent campaign stop, perhaps a sign he's leaving his Gore-esque façade behind as he gears up for a second run for the White House.

The Mormon Romney was a business owner and a governor. He met his future wife Ann in elementary school and together they have five sons and two homes. A seemingly perfect resume but now with hair that's not quite as perfect.

– On Monday, June 13, CNN will host the first New Hampshire Republican Presidential Debate, live from Manchester, NH at 8 p.m. ET. Follow all the issues and campaign news leading up to the debate on CNNPolitics.com and @cnnpolitics on Twitter.

And this is supposed to mean what, that he is just like me, my neighbors? Give me a break. How about you twitting what your specific plans are for our country? I would like to know how he plans to work with a Congress who might be hostile to him. I would like to know how he intends to deal with people who want him to fail and do everything in their power to see that happens. I would like to know specifically what his plans are to create jobs and fix the economy. I would like to know specifically what his plans are for health care for all Americans. How about specifically telling us that.

Romney will have to wear clothng of the extreme conservative wingnut GOP/Tea Party that moderates and independent voters find objectionable.

Too bad good grooming is ridiculed. I would think that his politics would offer enough openings for hunor that they could applaud his image.

So Romney is now supposed to be Mr. Regular-Down-The-Block-Guy? I'm don't believe that any of my immediate neighbors are multimillionaires. I do know that a few of them are struggling to make ends meet.

To Catmom: He's a repug; he's gonna cut taxes.

That will fix all of our problems. That will restore America to 'the Good Old Days'. That will end war and poverty. That might even get your cat litter changed.

After all, it worked so well under w. Anyway, that's all they've got.

    & Catmom, keep at em!!

so I wonder what ol' Mitty is going to filp/flop on next? The auto industry turnaround was the latest...first against it, now that it worked he's for it....even trying to say it was HIS idea. This is one of the few candidates that could actually have a debate with himself.

He looks like the high school kid who used Brycreem in his hair, wore "high-water pants" above his ankles, and said "Gosh, she's purty!" about the dragon lady who was principal. Nowadays he's against health insurance which he once voted into law. Once an idiot, always an idiot.
