Palin fakes out reporters at Gettysburg hotel

mug.hamby

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (CNN) - Sarah Palin pulled a clever bait and switch on reporters in Gettysburg on Tuesday, as her "One Nation" bus tour rolls into its third day.

The Palin family and a few members of her staff sneaked out of their hotel early, leaving their flashy bus behind in the hotel parking lot to give reporters chasing her the impression that she was still readying for the day.

As members of Palin's advance staff began to roll out luggage to the bus on Tuesday morning, a crush of media and tourists gathered to meet the potential presidential candidate on her way out of the hotel.

But CNN was soon tipped off that Palin was long gone, off to visit the Civil War battlefields and onward toward Philadelphia.

And if she's ever elected president (shudder) the headlines would read, "Palin Fakes out Country; Sneaks off to . . . . ." At what point will people get serious about the fact that she's just fooling everyone with the fake tour she's on – it's just a family vacation. What does it have to do with politics? Or teaching us about the history of our country? I already know our country's history – way more than Palin knows, I'm sure. What a scam! She just has to have a camera on her all the time.

Palin seems to be a sneaky type of person. But I guess Republicans and Tea party people love that type of person.

Why would she run from the media spotlight? Why abandon the opportunity to put out your message? Why go through so much trouble to create a golden ticket for yourself and then not use it? Why run out? Why fly by night? Inquiring minds really want to know. The lame stream media intends to find out.

Attention CNN: If Sarah Palin wants to dodge the media and be mysterious, let her do it. In the brief moments you've gotten her to answer a question, she repeats talking points. But she actually has you trying to chase her down like tabloid reporters chasing Lindsay Lohan. She attacks the media, refuses interviews with anyone not from far right wing sources and attempts to ditch you......so give her the one thing she really doesn't want....for you to ignore her. Unless she actually has something to say, why don't we assume she has nothing to say?

“ …all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.” (1 Peter 3:8-12)

Some words the GOP in general have chosen to ignore and missy in particular.

You GOP "christians" do recognize the text right?

You can't evade the media forever Palin! The Trumpish show you are putting on is filling your pockets, but it's coming to an end. As soon as this bimbo announces that she isn't running, her speaking and public appearance money dries up. If she decides to run, then the media will feed on her like sharks when she finally has to face them without training wheels.

Why can't the media see that Palin is playing games with you. By reporting and following her every move, you are giving her the publicity that she craves and thrives on. My suggestion is ,do the country a favor and leave her alone during her so call tour of America. Let's see what happens when she arrives at some tourist attraction and nobody shows up. I can guarantee that she would freak out.

The twit didn't want to face anyone who wasn't vetted as being "friendly" in the media (aka Faux News) so she did the cut and run routine. I'd love to see her actually answer real questions. It is pretty funny to watch all the media chase Sarah Palin around on her family vacation. I am going to have to give Sarah props for punking her supporters into thinking she might run for the hardest job in the land, and it appears she has fooled the media as well. She does know how to get her supporters to pay for a very nice new home and this family vacation. Her supporters offer her a very nice way to live the life of Riley and all she has to do is throw out some sound bites and bash the President and everything she wants is paid for.

I get the impression that everything she does is a stunt of some sort.

"look at me!!! look at me!!!" ------> "Can you believe the attention they're paying me? Can you believe the scrutiny? It's not right!!!"

She asks for it. All of it. And then pretends like she's had nothing to do with it. Yeah. I'll just go on a well publicized bus tour across the country and then skip out on the reporters. Please. Be a grown. Just say you don't want to talk. The same way as the rest of us with the Witnesses and Mormons that knock on the door. It would be silly to leave my car out front and then go to the park. In another ride to throw them off. Like, really?? Really, Sarah?

I'm amused to hear conservatives defend Sarah Palin as a good choice for political office. Even John McCain made a weak attempt to sort-of-endorse Sarah – as if his endorsement is any better now than it was in 2008. Here's the bottom line: The GOP tried to find a candidate who was a political unknown, could energize the right-wing and social conservatives, and was physically attractive. They misjudged her ability to not say ridiculous things and they assumed she had at least a moderate level of national and international awareness. Wrong! She has one real value – she's cute. That's it. Cute.

I find it difficult to understand what it is she is trying to prove.
With the Republican Party in desperate need of a candidate with substance, I don't see how she could qualify for the postion while all the time in the public eye she tries to avoid news press that are trying to find out what she stands for,and when they do catch her she has moronic statements, lack of respect for anyone that don't agree with her, and stupid lies she continues to force down our throats.
She does not seem to be presidential IMO.

Not sure which is more disgusting, $arah Palin or CNN fawning over $arah Palin. Either way, trying to elevate Palin back into the national spotlight will only serve to harm whoever wins the GOP primary. I suspect, though, that the media guru's have fooled themselves into believing otherwise. Same thing happened back in '08 as well ... Palin overshadowed McCain, making him all but unelectable. Palin IS the Republican Party, whether she runs for President or not. Daily coverage of her reinforces all that is wrong within the GOP. Good luck, GOPers. With $arah on your side, your work load of regaining the presidency triples itself.

Why is the media chasing after this woman? Personally, I could care less if she runs. It sure would make some interesting debates. Should she by some miracle win her party's nomination, she would never be elected President. She puts her foot in her mouth whenever she does interviews, so we can't really expect her to actually TALK to the press. So CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC stop this merry chase, and just let her bus go on its merry way.

Read the headline and thought Palin actually sounded intelligent and threw off the press corp.

Heard her on the news this morning. No chance she said anything intelligent

Still afraid to talk to the press! Certainly can't run for President if you can't talk to the press.

Oh, she's so clever. How about the media pulling a fast one on her and ignoring her.

"Palin fakes out reporters at Gettysburg hotel"

    Key Word: FAKE.

FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE. That's all she is. There's not a genuine bone or drop of urine in her body. Robot talking point parrot whose one goal is money and fame. Here's a hint CNN: if she avoids you, that's not a story...it's a reason to snub her back and not report on her at all. Otherwise, you're just feeding into it..and why? Because you don't have the integrity or the backbone NOT to report on her when all she is is an imaature publicity stunt performing robot talking point parrot?

I am not at all sure palin is the right choice for president, but it is super enjoyable watching her treat the media like the insignificant tools they are. If nothing else, showing the press ( and the public ) that the power of the media is now mostly in their own minds is a worthwhile endeavour

Bait and switch is a con artists game. With insular behavior she doesn't have to answer any questions about medicare from the public and the press.
