Palin meeting with Trump in New York

(CNN) – Add Trump Tower to the list of historical sites that Sarah Palin plans to visit during her “One Nation” bus tour.

Palin has scheduled a private meeting with none other than Donald Trump on Tuesday evening at the real estate magnate’s sprawling Trump Tower residence in Manhattan.

Palin and her husband Todd will then have dinner with Trump and his wife, a Trump adviser confirmed to CNN.

It’s something of an unusual detour for the bus, which has kept to a strict itinerary of historic sites like Mount Vernon and Independence Hall since it began its tour on Monday.

The tour, according to Palin’s website, is designed “to educate and energize Americans about our nation's founding principles, in order to promote the Fundamental Restoration of America.”

Palin and Trump have at least a few things in common, notably their starring roles in hit reality television shows and a knack for keeping the political world guessing about their presidential ambitions.

Trump recently decided not to pull the trigger on a bid for the Republican nomination, while Palin continues to say that she is seriously considering a run.

Palin was also quoted recently saying that she appreciated Trump’s high-profile effort to obtain President Barack Obama’s long-form birth certificate, though she has said repeatedly that she believes the president is a citizen of the United States.

- On Monday, June 13, CNN will host the first New Hampshire Republican Presidential Debate, live from Manchester, NH at 8 p.m. ET. Follow all the issues and campaign news leading up to the debate on CNNPolitics.com and @cnnpolitics on Twitter.

Trump Tower = historical site?!?!? LOL!!!!!

I'm not sure what's going on, but I've never laughed so much on CNN.com before. I've never really sought out CNN for comedy, but things seem to be changing. Maybe Harold Camping is right afterall...

    What is most tragic:

Out of all the intelligent, powerful and politically savvy women in the US, we prop up Palin.

Other countries have and had great female leaders are Presidents like:

    • 2009- President Dalia Grybauskaitė, Lithuania
    • 2010- President Roza Otunbayeva, Kyrgyzstan
    • 2010- President Laura Chinchilla Miranda, Costa Rica
    • 2011- President Dilma Vana Linhares Rousseff, Brazil
    • 2007-President Pratibha Patil, India
    • 2007-President Cristina E. Fernández de Kirchner, Argentina

America may never have a female President.

I don't see her as presidential material but I will always take a true patriot who respect every American and has morals and values, over a hateful partisan lawyer who does not have the nation and our peoples best interests at heart.

Please read the comments here about Palin, Rush has been on the air for 20 years and you can't find a single comment from him ever that comes close to the lib hate here expressed at Palin.

All Palin has done is tell the truth, very telling the Democrat reaction to her truth telling. I actually side with the left on just as many issues if not more than the right, Im pro choice and support gay marriage as a true Republican, the party that historically been on the correct side of the civil rights struggle since the days of Lincoln. I can never vote Democrat for one simple reason, I cannot endorse a party where a majority of its supporters and voters want to inflict harm on their fellow Americans just because of their political views.

They're going to share strategies with each other, on how to keep themselves in the media spotlight even after their campaign ruses have come to an end.

You just can't help yourself, can you, CNN? $arah Palin whispers and you fall all over yourself trying to cover her. IT'S NOT NEWS. THE ONLY REASON YOU THINK IT'S NEWS IS BECAUSE YOU CAN'T STOP COVERING HER.

This is worse than high school. The scared, unattractive reporters following the high school cheerleader, hoping they'll get noticed.

Palin's bus tour... Reminds me of another bus tour, Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters whose slogan was "We're all bozos on this bus." What's true then is true of Palin's today: bozos one and all.

By what reasonable measure was "Sarah Palin's Alaska" a "hit"?

By the same measure that "The Apprentice" was the highest rated show on television.

Palin / Trump 2012? Would be a media and a Democratic ticket dream.

Might be even better than Romney / Huckabee 2012 for the media circus it would generate.
