Palin: Timing of New Hampshire visit 'coincidental'

Boston (CNN) - Sarah Palin said Thursday her decision to appear in New Hampshire on the very same day Mitt Romney is announcing his 2012 presidential campaign there is purely a coincidence, not meant to step on the former Massachusetts governor's big day.

"I think that's exciting for him, that's great for him," Palin told reporters at her Boston hotel before touring historical sites along the city's Freedom Trail. "It's coincidental that we are in the same territory at the same time, but more power to Mitt as he mounts his campaign and best of luck to him."

News leaked late yesterday that Palin is organizing a clambake for Thursday evening along the New Hampshire seacoast, just minutes from the Stratham farm where Romney plans to officially announce his second presidential bid.

New Hampshire holds the first primary in the Republican presidential nominating process, and Romney is counting on a strong showing in the early state to vault him to the nomination.

Palin also addressed her lengthy meeting at Fox News on Thursday and speculation that she might be jeopardizing her lucrative television contract by ramping up her political activity.

Palin said she met with Fox News president Roger Ailes. She told reporters that she did not offer to resign.

"I did get to speak to Roger Ailes, and we always have great conversations," Palin said.

Following yesterday's meeting, a network executive said of Palin: "Right now there is no change in her status with Fox News."

She said not to read too much into the meeting.

"Any time we get to New York I like to hop in and say hi to the folks there who work so extremely hard and get to see some of the hosts and some of the reporters," Palin said before hopping into an SUV.

– On Monday, June 13, CNN will host the first New Hampshire Republican Presidential Debate, live from Manchester, NH at 8 p.m. ET. Follow all the issues and campaign news leading up to the debate on CNNPolitics.com and @cnnpolitics on Twitter.

It has been said by Sarah Palin that she is on a family vacation and yet her Sarah PAC is footing the bill for all expenses. I thought that per FEC rules, Sarah PAC could only spend it's funds for campaign related expenses, either the owner of the PAC or to a candidate the PAC donates. That being said, if this is a "Family Vacation" then she is in violation of FEC rules and yet if she is deemed to be actually in a campaign mode then FOX NEWS would be in violation of FEC rules by having her on their payroll. I think Palin is digging herself a legal hole here. Keep digging Sarah and not to worry, you can count on the American people to cover you up after you finish digging it.

Not a coincidence ... yeah, right. Palin isn't going to declare her presidential candidacy until the last possible minute, so she can keep her Fox gig and continue to use the SarahPAC money for personal use (that won't be allowed once she declares).

As usual, she's taking her followers for a ride, cashing in, mouthing off, blaming others for her missteps, all the while getting her ego stroked.

Totally freakin' pathetic. But then again, it's what we've come to expect from this narcissistic opportunist.

    Palin = Quitter, Liar, Mooch

There are news reports that Palin has been flying on a Gulfstream Jet on her bus tour. She hasn't been on the bus, except for short hops between airports and hotels and book-signing sites. This would explain why the media has not been able to follow her. How can you miss a big blue bus with the words "Going Rogue" on its side on the freeways? The bus is just a front.

But its NOT a family vacatoin - where's the baby?

When this tour was announced, it was "...to educate and energize americans about our nations founding principles". She's staying long enough at each stop for a photo-op and bathroom break. She's exercising her ego, and pulling her family along by their leashes. Undescribably pathetic. So sad that the media continues to pander to this nitwit, and enable her disillusions of adequacy. I guess if we'd all stop commenting, they'd stop running the stories. Which will come first, CNN ceasing the non-stop Nitwit coverage, or us ceasing the non-stop commenting on the Nitwit coverage?

Palin is flying by the seat of her pants. Why? Because she doesn't have any policies, original ideas or vision. She just wants to stay in the limelight in a self-deluded attempt to become POTUS, thinking it'll be just one photo-op after another, dressed in pretty clothes and making speeches to her adoring crowds.

Palin has demonstrated her inability to tackle problems or get beyond soundbites. We've all seen that when the going gets tough, she quits. She blames others for her mistakes. She's intellectually incurious, narcissistic and infantile, whining at the smallest provocation. Her solutions to her challenges is to run: from her job, her special-needs son, her own words.

Why anyone would support her is beyond me.

Palin thinks her antics are cute and she is on cloud nine playing with the media and having all the cameras on her. I personally find nothing funny, cute, redeeming, or interesting by her game. I take very seriously that she is going to attempt to put her unqualified fanny in the White House. She is an affront to democracy.

I am a die-hard conservative and I really with this idiot would just go back to Alaska and fade away. She has ZERO chance of beating Obama and this country can not afford another 4 years of Obama. She is killing the GOP!

I find the name calling distasteful. The only name or title that I associate with Mrs. Palin is Mayor.

That brand spanking new bus must have a high price tag (and bad gas mileage) is probably going to wind up as a tax deduction for a 'working' vacation; a vehcle which they will keep, of course. Your federal tax dollars at work.

Palin is an idiot, she doesn't understand the Dream Act, what the Statue of Liberty represents or Ellis Island as she attempted to explain immigration. It's embarrassing enough for her not to be able to speak coherently but then to speak and not know what you're talking about is even worse. Roger Ailes of Fox is probably recognizing what an idiot he has on board.

You must have missed the videos posted on the web site of the church she attended in Wasilla. The one where she placed her hand on a bible and swore that she was on a mission from God. They were taken down within 24 hours of the announcement of her selection by McCain. The vetting process missed that part.

I hope she does run. It will be comical to see her debate Mitt from her own party just to win the GOP vote. I am not even talking the big debates....Please run Sarah so Tina Fey revive your character one more time........America needs a good laugh to forget gas prices, unemployement, and lack of goverment fiscal responsibility. Instead they want to introduce bills with riders attached that chop away at Constitutional Rights of women and introduce such things at the "Ryan Plan" to Medicare away from anyone under 55 when they do reach retirement age. You know where you can put your vouchers.
