Washington (CNNMoney) -- President Obama touted the recovery of the Big Three automakers in a speech at a Chrysler plant in Toledo, Ohio, on Friday, saying it couldn't have happened without his 2009 bailouts.
At a Chrysler plant that makes Jeep Wranglers, the president talked about the jobs saved in Toledo, as an example of the broader economic recovery.
"Each day, when you clock in, you're doing more than earning your pay, you're standing up for this company. . . and showing the world that American manufacturing
The auto industry is back on its' feet. Great. So did we make money or lose money on the deal? I keep hearing it both ways.
I voted for Obama in 2008, But I totally disagree with him that: 'American industry is back'. If Obama is going to be so unrealistic, I will not vote for him in 2012.
Now lets end those Bush tax cuts.
end Bush tax cats, go with Clinton tax policies...jobs, jobs, and jobs...energy, oil-prices down, strong dollar....we need these to drive economy back on foot...
ok great ...now why cant we get our cars sold in japan or korea... make fair trade and we will make even more cars...
There is no way Obama would have bailed out the Auto companies if they weren't union. This was bad policy in 2009 and is bad policy now. But he doesn't see that. He has no clue. Oh, and by the way, these companies enjoy just as many tax incentives as big oil. What is the difference between the dollar they don't pay in taxes and the dollar the oil companies don't pay in taxes? Nothing.
American industry is back......Is this guy dumb or what?
Four and the Door,
Obama bailed out the banks too. Were they union?
Obama is behaving like: 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf'.
Wow, the comments are certainly...interesting. Whiners and crybabies spitting on American accomplishments. Gotta love their selective pro-American stance. Numbers don't lie...but it appears facts seldom reach the alternate reality that the right lives in.
