Here's the part that does not make sense. Where is the mutual interest between this group and conservatives. Christians, and believers of all faiths, that I know believe in helping the poor, the sick, and the weak. The Republican ideology calls such help "socialism" and strives to prevent and eradicate it wherever such programs exist in our governments. Those two visions are diametrically opposed to one another, but yet they seem to feel they have a strong bond with one another. Can you name one? I could name a few things that would be quite controversial, but I cannot think or find any other mutual interests.
