California lawmakers pass a balanced budget

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) – California lawmakers passed a balanced budget Wednesday that relies on spending cuts, fund transfers and one-time revenue boosts, but allows them to keep collecting their paychecks.

The budget now goes to Governor Jerry Brown, who has said for months that he wanted to present Californians with a gimmick-free budget that would solve the state's $26 billion deficit with a combination of tax extensions and spending cuts.

    So if the budget is balanced, why are Republicans in the CA legislature so upset over the budget? For the sake of the state and all of its' citizens, shouldn't they be at least satisfied and move on? Heck, not only is it balanced, but it is on time.

    good, but we need Energy efficiency than any thing else in this nation....companies are making ton of money not hiring...get them....tax...we need more plug in electric stations....in usa...
