Biden in Chicago to help raise funds

(CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden heads to Chicago Tuesday afternoon to headline a fundraiser for the Obama Victory Fund.

According to a source with knowledge of the event, Biden will be the main attraction at a gathering of about 15 to 20 people at Navy Pier. Tickets for the fundraiser range from $5,000 to the legal maximum limit of $35,800. The money raised from the event will go to the Obama Victory Fund, with the proceeds being shared by both the president's re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

The gathering comes one day after President Barack Obama was the main attraction at two fundraisers at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the nation's capital. The president headlines two more fundraisers Thursday in New York City.

Democratic sources say the Obama Victory Fund hopes to bring in $60 million by the end of the second quarter, which comes to a close at the end of the month. Obama shattered all records by raising nearly $750 million in his bid for the White House in 2008.

Following the political fundraiser, the vice president says at Navy Pier to speak at an event to raise funds for Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy (CURE), a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for epilepsy.

Only way Obama can win is to buy his way bac. This is crazy, Obama has been to THIRTY fundraisers thus far to get re-elected!! Bush during the same period had only attended THREE! I know simple math is hard for you Liberals so I will spell it out for you, thats TEN TIMES MORE!! Way to go Obama, we need four more years of fundraising and campaigning, not the leadership you clearly lack.

15-20 people. I would guess that that is just one small crowd of local fund raising leaders. I wonder what is on the menu at Navy Pier. This is the season for the corn to be knee high by the 4th of July. That means it looks like a good crop but it is still too early to pick.

What, no articles about one of the founders of PIMCO saying we need more stimulous? That narrow-minded myopic focus on the deficit and balancing the budget is bad and that BALANCING THE BUDGET AND GETTING RID OF THE DEFICIT WILL NOT MAGICALLY CREATE JOBS THE WAY BOTH PARTIES ARE SAYING? That we need more infrastructure projects and to put people to work via stimulous created jobs whether we like it or not? I mean, he's only one of the biggest investment gurus and geniuses on the planet...why would we listen to him?

Biden make me laugh just to look at him. I am surprised they have not sent him on some worild tour to collect artifacts and BS all the third world countries. Truthful statements very rarely cross his lips but he is so inept and harmless I think the American public just laugh it off. He is like the guy eveyone knows that constantly stretches the truth but no one wants to talk to him long enough to tell him what he is saying is false.

You mean all those "shovel ready projects" that the Joker-in-Cjief was cracking wise about? The ones that DON'T EXIST?? Do you honestly expect unemployed office and service workers to go out and build bridges and pave roads?? What planet do you live on???
