It just dawned on me that it is possible that he has given more speeches overseas than he has at home to a national audience.

I stand with our President, and will support his well-thought out decision over a "MIssion Accomplished Weapons of Mass Destruction" statement ANY DAY OF THE YEAR.

Obama is going to announce the troop withdrawal from Afghanistan that he made as a campaign promise...hes doing his best to make sure that hot topic issues like this are slowling coming to a close by 2012 or atleast moving into the direction...wish it was a full withdrawal instead of just the surge we don't need to be in that country any longer.

    @ Democrat Class Warfare
"Can't this guy do ANYTHING without turning it into a major I AM OBAMA THE PRESDIENT event????"

The answer to your question is no. The reason is – and this has nothing to do with Obama as a man – he is still a politiician. By nature, all politicians live for the spotlight, the glitz and the glamour, no matter the subject. When it comes time though to do any kind of work for the common good of this country...well, that's a different story. This is true of both political parties, not just one.

Democrat Class Warfare...such a telling name. Your comment reeks of jealousy..so very transparent.

This is a major step that the taxpaying American citizens WANT to know about, regardless of party. Your comment is completely off the wall.

Democrats.. , you need to get a REAL education. A masters degree from Glenn Beck College does not count. You're only humiliating yourself with your obvious lack of substance and intelligence.

Another chance for Obama to read a teleprompter speech leading to withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan and FAILURE in Afghanistan like the rest of the Obama failures; let’s review:

Failure on the economy: Fact; we now have 3 for the 4 indicator of a second Great Depression in America, unemployment over 20%, housing sales the worst showing in 13 years and retail sales down year over year since Obama took office.

Failure on taxes: Fact; President Obama recently unveiled his 2012 budget proposal and the 43 tax hikes it contains. The multitude of—utterly unnecessary—tax hikes will burden Americans to the tune of $1.5 trillion over the next decade. The President is proposing to raise federal tax revenues and federal spending as a percentage of GDP above historic levels, and keep them growing. This plan is a disaster for the economy—slowing down recovery, hurting job creation, making American companies less competitive, and burdening all Americans with higher taxes and consumer costs

Failure on home foreclosure: Fact; since the Democrats took over Congress in 2006,
2011 will be the bleakest year in foreclosures, lenders are poised to take back more homes this year than any other since the U.S. housing meltdown began in 2006.
Home sales have fallen in four of the past five years, the worst showing in 13 years.

Failure on a budget: Fact; No budget from Obama for 2 years and the 2011 budget; Ninety-seven senators voted against a motion to even take it up.

Failure on health care: Fact; 50% of small businesses will drop health care for employees in 2014 when Obama care starts.

Let's wrap it up and get out of there. No need to put our troops in harms way any more...Bin Laden is dead. Mission Accomplished under Obama's watch. The rightie propeller heads are all upset because Bush/Cheney dropped the ball and Obama got the job done.
