Washington (CNN) - While Christine O'Donnell lost her bid for the U.S. Senate in November, the Delaware Republican plans on reclaiming the media spotlight this summer with the release of her book, "Troublemaker: Let's Do What It Takes to Make America Great Again."
In an email sent to her PAC Tuesday, O'Donnell promised supporters to reveal "the real, raw story of my life," claiming that her closest advisers had concerns she was being "too honest, too open" while writing about her "bumpy journey into politics."
The tea party favorite called the 2010 elections "the start of the Second American Revolution" and said her goal was to inspire "real" people to get involved in politics: "Real people have real stories," she wrote in the email.
O'Donnell, famous for her "I'm not a witch" ad in response to a decade-old admission to Bill Maher that she "dabbled" in witchcraft as a teenager, was labeled the most covered candidate of 2010 by the Pew's Project for Excellence in Journalism. Her Democratic opponent, Chris Coons, won the general election with 57 percent of the vote.
St. Martin's Press is the publisher of her 304-page book and advertises it as both a tell-all autobiography and a how-to on being politically active.
"O'Donnell details how she participated by running for high office as an everywoman, but also shows how attending town council meetings, organizing a petition drive, making an effort to meet a staffer in your local representative's office, or simply reading the minutes from your community board can make a difference," according the publisher's website.
The book is set to release on Aug. 16.

The bottom line is that Christine O'Donnell is actually very uninteresting, which is PC-speak for ... boring.
PLEASE GO AWAY !
Learn a new trade , go back to collage and learn something !
You need to grow up to reality before you write the new testament of as how you see it your small little world !
"Too honest, too open."...not really, more accurate to say too naive, too far to the right, and too much Palin stick your foot in the mouth disease. O'Donnell is just another everywoman social conservative/Tea Party zealot unqualified to hold public office.
I vote democrat due to its ideology. Unfortunately, this makes me "un-American" and not a "real" person. I truly ask the republicans for their forgiveness for my leftist views that subsequently have divided this country. If only their was a way we could only have "real" Americans vote in our elections, this could all be resolved.
What a ditz! This is the kind of candidate that the Republicans offer for the future of our country!
True, not a wicked witch. Just an grossly incompetent politician and even at witching.
Here is a signficant difference between liberals and conservatives. Look at her track record at winning elections. She doesn't. One could almost call her a career loser, but I won't. That's not my point, which is who would buy her book. Since she is a conservatives, then conservatives would buy it. If she were a liberal, the book would have never made it to print.
"too honest, too open"
Is that what she calls using campaign finances to pay her rent and then trying to cover it up?
Want to make a difference? Find something better to pay attention to than this media-driven fluff.
I hope she runs for something again. She was the funniest candidate of all.
"Let me just clarify: You're telling me that the separation of church and state is found in the First Amendment?"
"What I think about the theory of evolution is irrelevant," it's "not a fact but a theory."
We need to restore our country's security by ridding ourselves of all rouges and trouble makers running around armed and dangerous.
Remember when politics featured the best and the brightest? Competent leaders, planners, lawmakers, statesmen? Now we have....this.
Oh please spare me! A tell-all? From the white-bread-est of the white-bread candidates? News flash: You gotta have something to tell before you write a tell-all book! During the election cycle this lady proved to us that she was completely delusional. She had some seriously skewed views of the world, and how she fits into it (or doesnt). Now, like every ambitious republican wannabe, she has written a self-apologetic diatribe, telling the world how great she is, and how the nation needs to take a few great big steps backward to properly fit her world view.
I am disgusted. Not surprised, but certainly disgusted.
Her book will be appearing soon in a bookstore near you. Check the 'Fiction' section.
Given that Palin's poll numbers are heading south faster than the moving van taking her stuff from Anchorage to Arizona, exactly how much interest can there be in the incoherent musings of a Palin wanna-be?
"They've been pretty busy trying to clean up the financial mess/disaster left to them by the Democrats. "
Please name all financial/economic/jobs-related bills the GOP has proposed since January 2011 and all financia/economic/jobs-related legislation they have passed. I'll even give you a head start: Ryan's disaster of a budget proposal, which is so unpopular that it's threatening to sink every GOPer candidate for POTUS who signs onto it. Go head, name the rest of their sweeping reforms that have actually passed, been signed, turned into law, implemented and actually had an effect on the economy and helped create jobs. We'll be waiting....
@RudyNYC – ".....running around armed and dangerous." You "ain't" seen nothin' yet. Texas has two bills:
1. Allowing college students to carry concealed firearms on campus.
2. Allowing employees to carry firearms to work, except they have to be kept locked up in their cars.
3 Already on the books, carrying concealed weapons legal.
4. Perry vetoed bill making texting and receiving messages while driving illegal. It "infringed on adult behavior" rights.
Hypothetical: Someone crashes into your car while texting, you get angry, shoot that person. Who gets arrested?
Both are legal.
Hypothetical: Some professor gives some looney a bad grade, ......well you can finish that story.
Most are "armed", just takes one that is "dangerous" to cause chaos.
This chick is washed up!!! The Republican Party and its affiliates won't touch her. She is really a trouble maker in the truest sense of the word. Her book is irrelevant and will not make the best seller's list.
If it’s a book filled with only O’Donnell’s funny facial expressions, then maybe it’s worth a trip to the bathroom. Other than that, O’Donnell and Palin’s books are nothing more than their pathetic attempts to get the media to “Pay Attention to Me”. – that is the media who so attacks them.
These two cry babies can spew their red state false patriotic excrement all day – no one with a full set of teeth and at least a third grade education is falling for their manure.
Better be careful with Christine, she already turned one GOP presidential candidate into a ... Newt!.
.... and no, I don't think he'll get better.
Even as a member of the Broomstick Society, DE chapter, O'Donnell stunk at her job. We revoke your membership.
Too honest, too open. Yep, should have kept her big mouth shut regarding witchcraft. Her political future could be outlines on a postage stamp.
Just a Palin mini-me. Hopefully when not even conservatives read this garbage she'll finally fade away.
