(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had plenty to tweet about Wednesday regarding the book, "Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far," by her oldest daughter, Bristol Palin.
Palin praised the memoir, which released Tuesday, as "Shocking; Refreshing; Honest; INSPIRING! Perfect," and said it "gives insight into how media can drive false narrative."
In the book, Bristol writes about lying to her parents so she can go on a camping trip with friends–a night that ended with the teenager losing her virginity to her boyfriend, Levi Johnston, while getting drunk off wine coolers.
Later, Bristol walks readers through her unwanted pregnancy with Johnston, revealing details on their shaky relationship over the years.
Bristol also writes about her mother's political career and includes sections on the 2008 presidential race when Palin campaigned as Sen. John McCain's running mate.
Palin, author of books, herself, wrote on Twitter that her daughter's memoir was "Spot on!" and complimented Bristol for opening up about her private life: "She's courageous to write what she wrote, warning about decisions/consequences in encouraging way, esp for teens!"
The proud mom then posted a photo of the book.

She should be shocked....were was she when this 17 year old asked to go on a camping trip? I raised two girls and when ever they asked to go somewhere whether it was an overnight at another girls home or out for the evening with friends the parents had a network that we called and checked to see if they were aware of the sleepover, or evening out and at parties there was always chaparones.....and as for Bristol sounds like she is like her mother in putting the blame for her mistakes off on someone else.....one of the most valuble lessons in life to learn is when you make a mistake or do something wrong or say things inappropiate you accept ownership and not blame others for your stupid mistakes.......her virginity was not STOLEN.....she gave it away herself, she is the one responsible for that.....not Johnson, not the wine coolers..........that's just making excuses........

Funny. Media, of cause, drives false narratives, but Palins are absolutely honest, completely pure and have absolutely no agenda of their own. An on the top of it they are also smart and articulate. Just perfect heavenly creatures unfairly abused by those pesky evildoers.....
How very sad for all of them. It must be devastating to Mrs. Palin that, even though she was governor, her daughter was raped and got no justice. Even worse, her daughter believed she had no real options beyond marrying her rapist. If a governor's daughter feels that way, then what hope is there for the rest of us who survive a rape but don't have a powerful family member in the executive branch?
I suspect that Sarah, not Bristol, wrote (or dictated) the book. No surprises here.

Shocking and inspiring! A young girl, acting out in an apparently disfunctional family, then blames the boyfriend/father/husband for 'stealing' her virginity. I am not sure I would describe it the same way.
Lets be honest here. Bristol was on the pill, so she was planning on having sex. I'm a betting man and I would bet she DID NOT get pregnant the first time she had intercourse if she was using the pill as prescribed.

The excerpts I've read in the news sound ridiculous....like a teenager's diary that is enhanced to make her sound better. At least she has more honesty than her mother, who "had" to get married because she was pregnant. It would be a waste of $$ to actually buy this silly book.
every outhouse in the Ozarks and the Smokey mountains should be equipped with a copy of this book,.. it sure beats using, straw or leaves.

She has taught her daughter well...."how to be a confidence artist or in other words a Grifter. They both are doing a great job of "exploiting" teens NOT teaching them abstinence. I'm sure Palin goes to bed every night hating the fact that she didn't come up with the idea for the show "teen moms". That would have been another group to exploit and make money off of.
