(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had plenty to tweet about Wednesday regarding the book, "Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far," by her oldest daughter, Bristol Palin.
Palin praised the memoir, which released Tuesday, as "Shocking; Refreshing; Honest; INSPIRING! Perfect," and said it "gives insight into how media can drive false narrative."
In the book, Bristol writes about lying to her parents so she can go on a camping trip with friends–a night that ended with the teenager losing her virginity to her boyfriend, Levi Johnston, while getting drunk off wine coolers.
Later, Bristol walks readers through her unwanted pregnancy with Johnston, revealing details on their shaky relationship over the years.
Bristol also writes about her mother's political career and includes sections on the 2008 presidential race when Palin campaigned as Sen. John McCain's running mate.
Palin, author of books, herself, wrote on Twitter that her daughter's memoir was "Spot on!" and complimented Bristol for opening up about her private life: "She's courageous to write what she wrote, warning about decisions/consequences in encouraging way, esp for teens!"
The proud mom then posted a photo of the book.

Sarah was likely shocked that her daughter gave herself away as a young teen without first seeking an agent to create a realtiy show about the event.
Good lord. The Palin family needs to go back to Alaska, curl up in igloo, and never come out. NO ONE CARES. I do find it intresting though that stupid Sarah says that the book is inspiring. The whole point is "Sooo yeah, I like lied to my parents and like went on this camping trip and like got drunk! And then I like got knocked up by like my boyfriend!" Yep, cause that's certainly inspiring right there.

You title is misleading. In fact, it "Drives a false narrative," at Sarah Palin would say. It's clear that Sarah was saying readers would be shocked by the book, not that *she* was shocked. The title suggests a negative reaction on Sarah's part, which is clearly not the case.
First: I like Sarah. She is the Queen/King maker in politics. She leads the Lame Stream Media and the Liberal/Lefty/Socialist/Dem party around with a gold ring in the short hairs.
Is anyone really going to spend money to read the "memoirs" of a 20 year-old? Had she done something to change the world for the better; or had she witnessed and survived genocide in Africa, there might be something worth reading. Details of her "deflowering" or time on DWTS might make for interesting "girl-talk," but a memoir? Spare us.

We are truly in an age where people are famous for no reason. Bristol Palin has never done anything but self-promote. She's famous not for anything she's actually accomplished, but just because her name is "Palin." And Sarah Palin hasn't really done much of anything, either, except be famous. They're Zsa Zsa Gabor all over again.
What a proud mom! Her 17 year old daughter got knocked up, and she wrote a book about her losing her virginity and having a baby out of wedlock. All moms should be proud of their 17 year old daughters who did that. Sarah Palin and her daughter think they are role models for young women in America, they should take a look at themselves in the mirror, they are no good for this country, The daughter is a spoke person advocating abstinence among teens who have had a baby at the age of seventeen.. And the mom is running around the country trying to get the media attention and then blasting the media for chasing her around the country. This woman will never run for President and will never be the President of this great country. We all need to forget about the Palin family and their drama stories and concentrate on getting this country back on track. President Obama and John Boehner WHERE ARE THE JOBS???
I admit I'm not the brightest bulb in the box. And I haven't (and won't) read the book... who the heck would? Sarah Palin is saying the book is spot on? Her daughter got pregnant, they dragged that boy, the father (Levi) out there on stage. How does she even have a public career now?
The reasons that Sarah isn't critizing her daughter is that: she might be accepting of underage consumption of alcohol; she really doesn't know how to be a parent; she wants to encourage books sales which means she can't say her daughter was stupid for drinking and taking birth control. Well, those are just some of the possible reasons. I can't say that I would buy the book or that this female really had "her virginity stolen." Why didn't she claim it was rape if she didn't concent to sex?

What does this teach our kids? It teaches them it is OK to become an out of wedlock teenage mother, go on Dancing with the Stars, make money with personal appearances and write a book if you have a famous parent. If your parent is influential, you get a free pass. This whole thing disgusts me.
These women are pods. Empty except for their patriotic, pseudo-religious, money-grubbing greed. It's an American Dream, but it's the wrong American Dream. They have no honor and they just don't get it. Never will. Are they the next Britney Speers and Lindsay Lohan?

I am the mother of a 21 year old and 16 year old daughters. I know how hard it is to control their behavior. They learn by example. It is clear that the Palin's hypocrisy of promoting abstinence only for every one else but themselves has been passed down to their pathetic children. My daughters have learned the value of an education and an open mind. The Palins have taught their children how to pimp themselves out to the highest bidder, how to blame everyone else for your failures, and how to pull the wool over the eyes of the ignorant and misguided. Nothing that I would be proud of.
Shocking? I am not at all shocked by the refusal to accept any responsibility for her actions.

BTW – the she devil traitor stopped her bus tour (at the expense of the idiots, including the media, who continue to follow her) because she supposedly was called to jury duty. I want to tell everyone, because just like her conitnued ad nauseum life story who cares, that I was also called to jury duty back in 2001 but I wasn't chosen to serve.
