Bachmann: Fox apology not accepted

Washington (CNN) – Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota didn't exactly accept an apology from Fox News' Chris Wallace following an interaction she felt was "insulting" on "Fox News Sunday."

Wallace asked Bachmann "Are you a flake?" in a Sunday interview and later apologized via web video.

"A lot of you were more than perturbed, you were upset and felt that I had been rude to her," Wallace said on his website. "And since in the end it's really all about the answers and not about the questions, I messed up, I'm sorry. I didn't mean any disrespect."

When asked about the apology on ABC, Bachmann, who will announce her presidential campaign Monday, said it is "insulting to insinuate that a candidate for president is less than serious."

"I'm a very serious individual. I have a strong background, a strong resume," Bachmann said. "Those are the small issues, I'm focused on the big ones."

Wallace was asking what so many of us are thinking? Is she a flake? She certainly seems like one. He gave have a GOLDEN opportunity to talk about why this image keeps following her around. Instead of discussing it, she chose to Play-Palin and roll over and play the victim and hope for sympathy. Chris Wallace didn't do anything wrong.

Does it not seem that anyone who does not fit the "politically correct" ticket is at risk of being attacked by the media? They are the Pit Bulls for the liberal elite.

A flak to the highest degree, the Republican party should be ashamed of themselves. This is what they have to offer.

She is waaaaaaaay beyond a flake. This woman is just not against the government she is part of but she has "visionx" of the future. The same vision that a girlfriend in college and (drum roll) her future husband whom she hadn't yet met!
That out in space limbo look she has reminds me of one flew over the cuckoos nest ornthe shining!!

I am curious what the right will say to this? This question came from FOX not the "lame stream media." Already Wallace is apologizing but imagine if this question came from someone at CNN or MSNBC??? I bet you a million dollars that shouts of firing would be heard or claims of political bias.

Bachmann is a flake. She's just a walking talking point and Obama basher. She was on Face the Nation yesterday and Bob Scheiffer asked her the question of what are "Anti-American views" that she claims the president has and she kept dodging the question. I'm more concerned about how she claims to be against pork and wasteful spending but she received a bunch of earmarks for the farmers in her district. She tried to avoid that yesterday as well while referring to the administration's limousine motor pool. This woman is a JOKE!!!!

"Hey libbies, tell me how would Obama answer this question ?"

Well, clearly, if Red State and WND and the rest of the idiot right wing conspiracy nests are correct, he'd answer it by putting you on an "enemies list" and eventually you'd lose your job and your home and be shipped off to a secret muslim prison in Yemen, where they hold the remote control for the barinwashing device they implanted in his head and that is evidence by mysterious scars on his scalp and his ability to control a teleprompter with his mind.

Wallace is a smirking jerk. Bachmann, religious social conservative Tea Party hypocrite, is clueless and heartless. Targeting the working poor by proposing to eliminate the minimum wage to benefit big business is morally reprehensible. Maybe she should return government money her farm and business received. Welfare subsidies for the rich must be ok with her?

Even more important: who'd really be pulling this woman's strings if she was in office? She's is CLEARLY incapable of the high-level cognitive processing required by the job and if you can't admit that, then you're just fooling yourself. One would think that GOPers around the country would find it disgusting and disheartening that she's considered one of the frontrunner candidates that the GOP is offering. I gotta believe there actually are some reasonable GOPers out there...I mean, just look at NY and the 4 who risked it all to do the right thing with respect to same-sex marriage? FORGET THE COUNTRY...START BY TAKING YOUR PARTY BACK...then we'll talk.

    HAHAHAHHAHAHA

Bachmann, the extra "N" is for nut-case. I think she easily tops Palin. Yes she's smarter (but so is my dog), but she is way, way crazier.

@ Bob in PA – To answer your question: Don't know and don't care.

She's so big on smaller government and fewer government programs ask her how she feels about ethanol and farm subsidies. She'll dodge the question until after iowa is in the bag then she'll decide farm and ethanol subsidies are bad.

She will bait and switch in a minute -- say what it takes to get elected (see 2010 midterms), and then go on and on about gays, guns, god, and the might greenback for her families farm subsidies.

Bachmann is a flake and Wallace should be chastised for not knowing this and having to ask her. Can't wait for the GOP primary season to get going in earnest. Bachmann and Palin will find out what the party of "old, angry, white men" is capable of if they feel that either one of them is a political threat. Remember ladies, Karl Rove is open to the highest bidder and he stops at nothing to destroy people with no regard to who they are or what the political issue is at the time. It's about getting your guy in and destroying the other personalities in the process.

Geez...here we go again...anytime a Republican (Chris Wallace in this case) says the Emperor has no clothes he is forced to apologize...

Bachman is worse than a flake, flakes aren't dangerous. She, on the other hand, is so ill informed on nearly every issue that she is dangerous.

Would that I could wish her away...

@Bob in PA: Gee, law degree with honors from Harvard, been elected senator, been elected president, Nobel peace prize, got bin laden, ended the war in Iraq, passed health care reform.

    Not a flake.

    Next moronic question?

Michele is the new Palin on this blog. I`ll bet this generates 300 comments before they shut it down.

Look lady, he did you a favor because he revealled that a fair number of Americans find you – - well, FLAKEY. In the comfort of GOP friendly fox, he gave you the opportunity to refute it but like Pawlenty in the debate, you punked out.

Teaching "intelligent design" in public school science classes is flakey. A religious/ philosophy course, maybe, but not as compulsory, non secular foundation skills learning which HS should be.

As a degreed engineer, I struggle with a literal intepretation of the earliest books of the bible. The dinosaurs and dates cause a real problem. I can imagine that the complexity of our world is not the result of random chance and that their could be a creator many thousand times wiser and more capable than us. [Just look at us vs insects or the ameoba]. But to suggest that any consideration of a higher power be taught as being as well factually supported and understood as evolution, as you have done, will cause many to call you flakey. If you really want to be President, deal with it.
