(CNN) - A federal appeals court in Cincinnati has ruled in favor of the Obama administration and Congress, ruling a key provision in the sweeping health care reform bill passed last year was constitutional.
The "individual mandate" requiring nearly all Americans purchase health insurance by 2014 or face financial penalties - was challenged in federal courts by a large number of individuals and groups, saying people should not be forced to purchase a product like health insurance. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit panel disagreed.
"We find that the minimum coverage provision is a valid exercise of legislative power by Congress under the Commerce Clause," said the three-judge panel on Wednesday, in a 64-page opinion.

I happen to like and plan to keep my coverage. My 20 year old otherwise would not have any insurance. If anyone thinks for one moment I wouldn't fight to keep it they are sadly mistaken. People are so nasty and mean they would cut off their noses to spite their faces just because they don't (personally) like our president. Go right ahead but KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MINE. It is absolutely amazing that the so called "middle class" can so often be convinced that cutting taxes for Corporations and the wealthy etc is all that is needed to "fix" everything.......what Obambi and the Libs/Dems are doing is forcing the heavy loads of repairing the economy onto the backs of the Middle Class. How , you ask; IE: large Oil companies will take the hit of higher taxes and simply "pass them on to the Middle Class". Well then the American people need to change that or there WILL be a second revolution in this country.
