Borger: Who are the adults in Washington?

Washington (CNN) – Call me old-fashioned, but when the president and congressional leaders get into a tussle over who should be "leading" the country in matters of real national consequence, I feel like sending them to their rooms.

"Call me naive," President Obama said at his news conference today. "But my expectation is that leaders are going to lead."

The GOP, party of "no" need to start doing the right thing the majority of the American People and stop trying to protect the wealthy and big business. It's time for the Democrats to push back and question their moves and motives. This includes stop acting like spoiled kids when you don't get your way (Paul Ryan walking out of budget talks) becuase you might have to play fair and compromise.

Obama called a news conference to play politics and talk bad about the people who agreed to let him run up more than the current national debt limit as long as he does it responsibly?

It's getting tough to tell the difference between a Presidential Press Conference and a Campaign Stop anymore.

"Just for the record, getting rid of a tax break for corporate jets may be a fine idea, but it isn't going to solve the deficit problem since it will amount to only about $3 billion over the next decade. But it's a good line."

Right. So you nit pick on that even though it amounts to $3B the GOP is desperately defending for their buddies. So of course you mention what a paltry amount $3B over 10 years is and SKIP MENTIONING WHAT THE BUSH TAX CUTS FOR THE WEALTHIEST 2% HAVE ALREADY ADDED UP TO AND WILL ADD UP TO OVER THE NEXT 10 YEARS. What's in your bank account Borger? Does it touch a nerve for you?

Fact: the freekin tax cuts were written to be temporary in the first place BY THE GOP THEMSELVES and now they pretend that they were always and should always have been considered permanent. They are the primary reason we're in this mess because they were made BEFORE cutting spending, which is the GIANT GIVE AWAY THAT IT WAS ALL DONE ON PURPOSE TO MANUFACTURE THIS CRISIS SO THEY COULD JUSTIFY DISMANTLING MEDICARE< MEDICAID< SS AND THE SOCIETAL SAFETY NET. But you're doing everything in your power to avoid admitting or talking about it...just like Faux and the rest are. Orders came down from on high on that one, eh Borger? Board Room decision was to sweep the damage done by the Bush tax cuts under the rug, huh? Already leverage all that money it put in your pockets and can't afford to service your new debts if we take it away? WE DON'T CARE. GIVE IT BACK.

There are plenty of adults.........they just refuse to find any common ground, because they aren't interested in what's good for the country..........they only care about themselves.
