Tax Wall St. They caused the problem, let them pay for it! Then start recalls for congressmen and women who don't vote for jobs bills. The people can fix what the polititians can't.

Simple – Just like 7 times under Bush – raise the Debt Limit (to pay for money already spent on unfunded wars and tax cuts), take your 700000th vacation this year, come back and fight over the cuts.

    NEXT!!!!

Let us see what they can get done. If the Republicans still claim that taxes can't be raised, then have them find some reason why and explanation as to how raising taxes are job killers?

Here's the problem the President was addressing when he remarked about Congress being on vacation. The majority party sets the vacation schedules.

Last year Democrats held majorities in both chambers. By the time of the 2010 elections, tentaive vacation schedules had already been set pending the outcome of the elections.

The Republicans set their own vacation schedule for the House after the took control. They set a schedule that does not synch with the one already established by Senate Demorats.

For example, the House is celebrating a week long vacation this week for July 4th, while the Senate is schedule for next week. The net result is that what would normally be a one week recess is effectively turned into two, and two week breaks are turned into three. Congress cannot function effectively if one chamber is in recess because compromises must be reached on bills passed by each. The vacation schedule is another method used to stall and delay the work of Congress.
