Palin's advice on debt ceiling: 'Reload with reality'

(CNN)-Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had sharp words for both President Obama and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell late Wednesday as she criticized their handling of the looming debt ceiling deadline.

"It's absolutely nonsensical the lack of planning that our leaders are exercising and showing their constituents coming out of D.C. right now," she said.

The 2008 GOP nominee for vice president pulled no punches in an appearance on Fox News when it came to the actions of the president, whom she blamed for "big government job killing policies" and "fearmongering tactics" or McConnell, who proposed a short term plan she claimed "makes no sense."

"It does cede power to our president and takes away that authority that is inherent in Congress to control the economic decisions that have to be made when it comes to debt," Palin said of McConnell's short-term strategy to increase the debt ceiling in three increments.

"We cannot afford to back off and hand him a white flag saying, 'Here Mr. President we trust you you take over, you do it' because our president has failed in that area," she continued.

And though there's blame to go around, for Palin, the buck stops with Obama.

"Our president is essentially suggested the other day that he's not able to prioritize, as the chief executive of our nation he can't prioritize," she stated.

Palin, who said she'll decide on a bid for the 2012 GOP nomination for president by August or September, also gave advice to Republicans engaged in debt negotiations with the executive-in-chief.

"We cannot default but we cannot afford to retreat either, now is not the time to retreat. It's the time to reload and we reload with reality," she said.

I watched the interview and she made sense to me. BTW, all those blasting her for resigning, go back and read why she resigned. It would to save her family for financial ruin and save the state for unneeded expense of taking time on all 21 ethics charges that were filed.

So easy to talk big from the cheap seats. You couldn't even make it through a single term of a relatively small state (population-wise). Get some real experience and then tell us what you think.

Well, it is always nice to hear the know-nothing viewpoint from someone who will be the first to blame the federal government when our credit rating goes into the gutter and people see sky-high interest rates.

I love how you all bag on Governor Palin, but none of you offer any suggestions or insight into the debt ceiling issue. Palin is correct, and whether or not you like her down home words like "nonsensicle" she is right the whole situation is absurd! Congress should not raise the debt limit and the President needs to follow a budget like the rest of us.

Also, until someone can provide a candidate who actually has positive solutions to this and other issues, lay off Governor Palin, she is only saying things the rest of us are thinking.

I wouldn’t walk across the street to see Sarah Palin for free, let alone ever pay to be subjected to two hours (movie) of propaganda about her. The real question may be, “why would anyone go to the trouble and expense of trying to sell her to the public?” The answer is simply obvious. She literally offers them the same opportunity George W. Bush provided – a “puppet” to perform as they “pull the strings”. Like GW Bush, she is bold, aggressive, arrogant, demonstrative, totally without a conscience, completely self-focused, simply another text-book sociopath, willing to do/say whatever is necessary to personally gain financially, prestige wise and with the desired attention. Her worse feature isn’t her lack of any qualification or knowledge but rather her complete disregard to gain any. She constantly demonstrates all of these negatives and yet there are those who see in her the same advantage they had with George W. Bush – when satisfying her near insatiable, self-indulgent appetite, she will then do whatever they want, without any hesitation and without any hindrance of a conscience. This woman is absolutely hellish and there are those who literally want to use her, with her being more than willing ... but the public really should not be.

$arah really needs to stay out of grown folks' conversations.
Her not making a decision until August or September about her Presidential bid depends on whether the school system in Alaska will allow Piper to not go to school (yet again) for another 2 years; Moose Mama shouldn't want another illiterate in the family.

Another critic without a solution. Unless you have a plan to help Mrs. Palin, keep your trap shut.

This from a woman who ENDORSED the Bridge to Nowhere, and who left the city of Wasilla deeply in debt over a pointless sports complex?

And what is it that makes this woman an authority on anything government related? To give her any credence is to admit that we know nothing. She's a bigmouth that simply lashes out to only microphones. She has no answer and couldn't debate her way out of an argument with herself.

When will this woman wake up and realize that no one really cares what she thinks? Every action she takes is geared toward making money for her. If she thinks she can truly win the White House, go for it! But all that would succeed in doing is ensuring the current administration stays put until 2016.

I find it funny that she keeps playing this game with the news media, and the republican party. She has chosen to become a professional entertainer, and will milk that for as long as she can. She cannot not possibly know how ignorant she is, so she may never understand why she has no chance of being elected to any office ever in her lifetime. But she is smart enough to recognize that she can make money of the "dumb country girl" image she carries.

Why do we give this woman press? She's a complete non- issue. I agree with a person who posted earlier. She's using this time to sell her crap. I knew she wasn't running when Michelle Bachman announced that she was running. So Palin does whatever she can to stay in the spotlight just enough to market a movie and market memorabilia, and appear on Fox News because that's the only network that will spoon feed her questions like what's one plus one, so not to unmask her as the moron that she clearly is.

Stop giving this woman press! You're only being an enabler! The madness must stop somewhere!! LoL

She won't run for President because she knows she'll lose so badly in the primaries and will have to drop out and then after that nobody will even care about what she thinks anymore and her 15 min will be up. I guarantee you!! SHE WILL NOT RUN!! She's too busy trying to milk this for everything it's worth!!

I hope she'll decide on a bid for the 2012 GOP nomination for president and let us all know in August or September of 2013. She doesn't know it but she is caught up in Ground Hog Day.

Palin-It's congress that raises the debt ceiling-All that needs to be done is a two sentence article saying they will raise the amount to such and such.
    That's it
Playing around with this debt ceiling is crazy,
I own a small business with my wife and if they don't get their act together and the economy tanks some more it will be a wildfire of small businesses going out of business.
The House Republicans are responsible for this and that's were the blame will be laid.
I will never vote for a Repub again if this happens. As a general rule I vote for the person not the party
My business is at stake Morons!
