Palin's advice on debt ceiling: 'Reload with reality'

(CNN)-Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had sharp words for both President Obama and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell late Wednesday as she criticized their handling of the looming debt ceiling deadline.

"It's absolutely nonsensical the lack of planning that our leaders are exercising and showing their constituents coming out of D.C. right now," she said.

The 2008 GOP nominee for vice president pulled no punches in an appearance on Fox News when it came to the actions of the president, whom she blamed for "big government job killing policies" and "fearmongering tactics" or McConnell, who proposed a short term plan she claimed "makes no sense."

"It does cede power to our president and takes away that authority that is inherent in Congress to control the economic decisions that have to be made when it comes to debt," Palin said of McConnell's short-term strategy to increase the debt ceiling in three increments.

"We cannot afford to back off and hand him a white flag saying, 'Here Mr. President we trust you you take over, you do it' because our president has failed in that area," she continued.

And though there's blame to go around, for Palin, the buck stops with Obama.

"Our president is essentially suggested the other day that he's not able to prioritize, as the chief executive of our nation he can't prioritize," she stated.

Palin, who said she'll decide on a bid for the 2012 GOP nomination for president by August or September, also gave advice to Republicans engaged in debt negotiations with the executive-in-chief.

"We cannot default but we cannot afford to retreat either, now is not the time to retreat. It's the time to reload and we reload with reality," she said.

Oh good, the brains of the batsh*t crazy right is jumping in. Although if anyone can tell me what she actually suggested of any substance I would be curious to know. I'm going to be holding my breath until she announces whether she actually be running for diva in chief this fall.

Why does CNN keep covering this person. She wasn't even a full term Governor. I'd be more interested in what Jesse "The Body" Ventura has to say then listen to this half wit.

The only way to eliminate morons like her (and Bachmann) is to stop posting information about them.

SP is a stupid as they come and a QUITTER! Why should anyone care what this lazy quack has to say about anything? She is stupid, period. She knows nothing about economics or the government. Even baggies think she is stupid.

In typical Palin fashion, someone was getting more news time than her so she had to open her mouth. Like lemmings the news media is agog with this person who brings nothing to the table other than her criticism of President Obama. Ms Palin WHERE is your master plan for fixing this economy?

Wow! Another "Ticker" about Palin! You guys are really obsessed with her. It's funny to read all the comments wondering why they have to listen to her...blah blah blah when your beloved news web site puts her in the Ticker headline every day!

Ms. Palin must certainly know that 2001-2006, when her beloved Republican party controlled all three branches of government, the deficit was spinning out of control, and–for the first time ever–a President (GW Bush) CUT taxes in THE MIDDLE OF A WAR. And she keeps yapping about how the Democrats are fiscally irresponsible. Plus the usual gun metaphor ("reload") like this makes her tough or something. Why doesn't she just put on a cheerleader's outfit and prance around. This is all she seems to be doing anyway, yelling "go team go" even tho her "team" is just as inept when it comes to fiscal management.

The B word sure applies here. Sarah, please direct that information to the republicn't leaders who don't know the meaning of compromise to end loopholes for the rich and corporations. Spending cuts yes, but also increased revenue does away with debt.

She's back to this violent rhetorical of "don't retreat, reload", even after a woman got shot in the head after putting crosshairs on her district? This woman is unbelievable! And to think she still is pretending she might run. She wants to criticize people actually working for the country and she still can't decide whether she is running? Wait until the Palin-ites hear she ISN'T running and has been collecting donations for nothing!

The posts on this blog are, for the most part, senseless attacks on SP. One person stated that the President doesn't have much to do in these negotiations because Congress passes the laws. Well, Democrats control the Senate, therefore negotiations must occur to pass BOTH houses of congress.

Secondly, for those of you who don't understand why SP quit governorship of AK, it is because she could not legitimately serve as governor AND help Republicans pull off what happened in the last election. Unlike many politicians who SHOULD resign their positions as they work on other tasks, SP actually voluntarily gave up a very powerful position. Yes, I know, she made money along the way. But so do ALL politicians on their way out the door. Consider Al Gore, Clinton, and Obama will for sure be selling his speeches for $100k a pop. All powerful people can make money after they retire - and that's the way it is. SP is no different. However it is exceedingly RARE that a politician gives up his or her power to serve their political party.

And for those of you who think that SP needs to "offer up" her own plan instead of criticizing, Barack Obama has not offered a formal budget since his last one was voted DOWN by the SENATE 97 – ZERO.

Did you hear that... President Barack Obama got ZERO votes to support HIS budget idea. I'm sure SP would have gotten at least one.

As far as intelligence goes. For this sanctimonious bunch of "I'm smarter than SP" crowd, let's see you run a State with 80% approval. Let's see YOU write a book and make milllions. Let's see YOU inspire crowds of people with a speech. She sure is a dummy, but you are collecting your unemployment check - watching Judge TV - and proudly claiming your superiority of a woman who was the 2nd female to EVER secure nomination for VP of our great country.

    That's right she's not smart.

But Obama - who can't utter a sentence without "uhhhs" and "ahhs", who didn't even write the book "Dreams from My Father", who won't release his grades, who rarely writes anything of seriousness, we are to assume is of superior intellect.

Yes I state categorically that President Barack Obama is intelligent, but I think he is only slightly above average. I don't think he understands business, economics, mathematics, or science.

He is a well-studied social scientist and lawyer and is a deeply ideological person whose intellectual heroes are Marxists.

He has NEVER fought his party they way SP did in Alaska with the oil barons.

He has broken laws to support his precious union support through the GM bailout, in which bankruptcy laws were subverted to allow the american people to prop up union labor at the expense of bond holders. The bond holders got screwed, and the union was bought using my tax dollars.

Unless you get rid of Social Security or Medicare, Cuts alone don't solve the problem. If you get in debt then you need to get yourself out of it and fast. Raise the tax rates – but make it so the the extra money can only go to pay down the existing debt and not new spending. it is easy to say a job is not essential when it is not your job. but if the govt defaults we will all experience a tax hike in the form of higher interest payments.

It is amazing to me that Sarah Palin feels she is intellectually capable of giving advice/criticism to anyone about anything since it took her 5 years to graduate college (C student) and quite midstream as Alaska's governor (greener pastures $$$$). Can you spell hypocrite, Sarah. However, she is charismatic, as attested by her loyal followers, but so was Reverend Jim Jones, Jonestown, Guyana!!!
