Palin's advice on debt ceiling: 'Reload with reality'

(CNN)-Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had sharp words for both President Obama and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell late Wednesday as she criticized their handling of the looming debt ceiling deadline.

"It's absolutely nonsensical the lack of planning that our leaders are exercising and showing their constituents coming out of D.C. right now," she said.

The 2008 GOP nominee for vice president pulled no punches in an appearance on Fox News when it came to the actions of the president, whom she blamed for "big government job killing policies" and "fearmongering tactics" or McConnell, who proposed a short term plan she claimed "makes no sense."

"It does cede power to our president and takes away that authority that is inherent in Congress to control the economic decisions that have to be made when it comes to debt," Palin said of McConnell's short-term strategy to increase the debt ceiling in three increments.

"We cannot afford to back off and hand him a white flag saying, 'Here Mr. President we trust you you take over, you do it' because our president has failed in that area," she continued.

And though there's blame to go around, for Palin, the buck stops with Obama.

"Our president is essentially suggested the other day that he's not able to prioritize, as the chief executive of our nation he can't prioritize," she stated.

Palin, who said she'll decide on a bid for the 2012 GOP nomination for president by August or September, also gave advice to Republicans engaged in debt negotiations with the executive-in-chief.

"We cannot default but we cannot afford to retreat either, now is not the time to retreat. It's the time to reload and we reload with reality," she said.

Palin only talks thru FoxNews, Facebook or Twitter so her comments really aren't relevant anymore. Despite the Tuscon incident she still loves to use the 'reload" terms I see guess that pleases her Tea Party faithful. Pretty sad that CNN still seems to give her all this attention.

Sarah and her ilk would like to drive the country right over a cliff to financial oblivion. As I recall much of the increased debt came from the previous Republican administration that preferred to put things on the credit card (two wars and precription drug coverage) rather than have the guts to cut other spending or pay taxes. Why doesn't Sarah and Michelle go to Alaska and count polar bears? We would all be better off.

There she goes reloading again! Oh I didn't say that! Oh I didn't mean that! AKA Gifford. Now she is attacking the president of USA! Anyway. She said things are nonsensical. Isn't she special with her descriptors of things? When is she going to make suggestions on how to get things done instead of mudslinging? The looney is at it again!

My God, this woman cannot speak and make sense at the same time. Who cares what she has to say – hopefully she will stay parked in Alaska.

She's a hoot. She and wacky Michelle are 2 peas in a pod. Neither has ANY idea how to approach the economy, nor any ideas on anything other than the usual ultra right religious, anti-gay, anti everything progressive babble. But, they are entertaining. I pray one of them gets the Repug nomination. Now, that will be fun to watch!

Palin's advice…???? Again a no brainer! Only thing to do: Into the trash bin with it! Just like all the other nonsense that comes out of the GOP/TP pretenders. “No” is what they are all about! Solutions: none! Working for only a very few % before, now and as they show us in the future. If they got votes only from those that profit from their “work” it would be in the single digits. That it is more makes one wonder about the voter that seems to love to be taken for a ride by them again and again and again..

Section 4 of the 14th amendment says the validity of authorized public debt shall not be questioned. I know it was written during the Civil War era and addresses citizenship and slave owner repairations, but if the older 2nd amendment is still valid in our modern world, then so is this. Shut up, pay the bills and do what needs to be done to keep this counrty solvent and a leader in the world. It's easy for Ms Palin and other Tea Partiers because they are a minority and we will never see thier vision of the US and the aftermath of their misguided vision.

Does this airhead ever utter anything other than trite clichés and sound bites? But I must admit, in regard to her statement regarding being "absolutely nonsensical ", she's a leading authority on the subject. Former weathergirls and beauty contestants must cringe ever time she opens her mouth. Talking about perpetuating a stereotype.

For a person who doesn't know anything, And I mean anything, she sure loves to tell other people how to run things. But then we all know republicans, as many times as they have messed up the economy and ran out on it, don't know how to govern either. Bunch of jerks and with people like Palin in the party we know why.

Inciting violence once again Palin? You, in my opinion, are truly a disgusting person. With the climate the way it is in America at this point in time, we do not need a teahag telling the American people to reload. Besides, I do trust President Obama, it is the teabags and the likes of you I do not trust. Thanks for the laugh about fearmongering, found it very amusing coming from you of all people...the queen of fearmongering. Since you hold no political office in this country, nor are likely to in the future, do not have the education to solve the debt problem, and offer no solutions to any problems facing the American people...I suggest you leave this situation to the people who have the mentality to solve this problem. Just sit back, relax, and suck up to Fox News. By the way, how is the Murdoch situation working out for you? Have not heard you open you big mouth about that one...hmmm.

She'll never run for president... she would rather sit and nit-pick at everyone else. I have no time for people that just spend their time criticizing everyone else without any balls to get into position to make the choices yourself.

Can she form a coherent sentence? You know, I am sick of the right-wing idiots CONSTANTLY whining about being quoted, specifically, when they are CONSISTENTLY moronic in their ramblings. They blame the media, because their mouth-breathing supporters are apparently satisified with the explanation that some bogeyman is responsible when Palin, Bachmann, or any number of the Tea Party hacks say what's really on their small minds....

OMG! How can Sean Hanity sit there and listen to this lady that doesn't even know what she's talking about. I have lost all respect for this man and he should be embarrassed that FOX has reduced itself to such low standards.

Poor thing has no clue of what she says and does on Fox news. The toilet bowl of news reporting. She is making a lot of money from her nonsense. Bachman and Palin are a force to recon with and should not be dismissed as candidates. Obama MUST tell the world the truth about the GOP/TEA Party. They are for rich and the for the Corporations that give them money. We must realize who is in office and who they work for now and in the past and when realize who is in office and who is working for them. Then and only then will Americans wake up and start protesting like mad for real honest changes.

Go Sarah!!!!!!! Yes it is quite appalling that the Chief Executive of this country has "no plan". Thank God he is in politics. If he was in the private sector he would be collecting unemployment – probably 2.5 years worth by now Let's see, he's now tried to scare seniors, vetrerans and the military. Whose next. Definitely not the unions. What a program. Oh and nice budget Mr Pres – failed by 97-0 in the Senate. I hate this On The Job Training – we deserve better. I think that the Pay Csar should check the Pres' compensation.
