Palin's advice on debt ceiling: 'Reload with reality'

(CNN)-Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had sharp words for both President Obama and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell late Wednesday as she criticized their handling of the looming debt ceiling deadline.

"It's absolutely nonsensical the lack of planning that our leaders are exercising and showing their constituents coming out of D.C. right now," she said.

The 2008 GOP nominee for vice president pulled no punches in an appearance on Fox News when it came to the actions of the president, whom she blamed for "big government job killing policies" and "fearmongering tactics" or McConnell, who proposed a short term plan she claimed "makes no sense."

"It does cede power to our president and takes away that authority that is inherent in Congress to control the economic decisions that have to be made when it comes to debt," Palin said of McConnell's short-term strategy to increase the debt ceiling in three increments.

"We cannot afford to back off and hand him a white flag saying, 'Here Mr. President we trust you you take over, you do it' because our president has failed in that area," she continued.

And though there's blame to go around, for Palin, the buck stops with Obama.

"Our president is essentially suggested the other day that he's not able to prioritize, as the chief executive of our nation he can't prioritize," she stated.

Palin, who said she'll decide on a bid for the 2012 GOP nomination for president by August or September, also gave advice to Republicans engaged in debt negotiations with the executive-in-chief.

"We cannot default but we cannot afford to retreat either, now is not the time to retreat. It's the time to reload and we reload with reality," she said.

I just wish the GOP/TP would agree to pay for the 6 trillion they put on the public debt from 2000-2006, when Clinton left office debt was 5 trillion.......we need to figure out which GOPer knows this fact, and isn't afraid to admit it.

I've heard that if you give a monkey enough time and a typewriter it could write the works of Shakespeare.
Sarah must have a staff of thousands of monkeys working 24 hour days writing for her if this is the best she can do.

"Reload with reality," can you please clarify, Sarah, what this means, what the steps are, and what this produces as outcome, or it this just another, empty, completely meaningless phrase to aim at your brainless supporters? And who is the quitter to call anybody a failure?

She is being critical because she knows she's not going to run and is merely catering to her Tea Party. If she were going to run she would not be trying to alienate the rest of her party. She and her comments are irrrelavant.

Palin has no solutions as usual. This goes back to her days as mayor and incompetence as governor. She had people write all of her op-eds and letters to the editor, etc. It was clearly recognized by the people around her that she was not capable of putting together position statements or studying the issues enough to speak on her own. In her run for governor, she borrowed people's signatures in letters of support which is unethical.

This woman needs to shut up....how can America tolerate such an ignorant person vying for the highest office of the land. There should be a minimum IQ test for the office of Vice-President and President.

The personal attacks on this lady are over the top and maybe even sexist. She has her views and people do not have to agree with them. But, personally, she is no better and no worse than many men who express views on the left. Disagree with her if you like, but the personal attacks and name calling are more than a little unseemly.

I am sure if she were our leader she would quit. That is what she did in Alaska when the economy started to spiral down.

For someone who has no sense of reality, and lives in a delusional state of mind,.. Palin is the last person to be giving advice on reality.

Why is anything SP says worthy of being on CNN.com?? It's the time to reload and we reload with reality," she said.
LIke she knows about reality....Palin's idea of reality is to" star" in her own TV reality show.

Until it's apparent that Palin herself has reloaded on reality, there's no reason to listen to her at all.

Palin never makes any sense when she opens her mouth.

It’s truly unfortunate that the two women who have become household names in the current American political discourse happen to be Palin and Bachmann. Regardless of their party, these two are simply buffoons. I’d be ashamed for my party if either of them were Democrats – I find it odd that not too many Republicans seem perturbed as to the direction these two fools are trying to take their party.

Lady Blah Blah is at it again, and all of this advise from some who defaulted the entire state of Alaska. Everyday she walks that bridge to nowhere that she wanted to build right after she nearly bankrupted Wasilla.
