(CNN) - Herman Cain said Sunday he is a more experienced candidate for president than Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota in the battle for the 2012 GOP nomination.
"The choice is real simple," Cain said on "Fox News Sunday," when asked why voters should choose him over Bachmann. "My entire career has been problem-solving, not politics."
Cain and Bachmann have a history with the tea party movement that has helped propel them to national prominence.
The former Godfather's Pizza CEO said they hold similar policy positions, but that as a businessman he has more "direct hands-on" experience and "stronger credentials than literally many of the other candidates."
Although the presidential hopeful said he expects to finish in the top three at the high-stakes Ames straw poll in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa in August, if he falls short he will not drop out of the race.
"The nomination process doesn't stop with the early caucuses only," Cain said. "The biggest determining factor as to whether I stay in or drop out won't be whether I finish first, second, or third, or fourth. It's going to be the number of supporters that we're getting, and what we are hearing from the people actually out there in the states."

It's all about politics Mr. Cain. You are indeed a very intelligent man. You may be better off being a cabinet member or some other high role in government rather than being the President. It is politics.
On the other hand Bachmann is all about politics but she is definitely not presidential material.
With all due respect, Mr. Cain, none of you are qualified to run this country. The entire GOP party is delusional and their supporters should be hauled up and tried for treason. I have never in my life seen such disrespect for a sitting president and a total disregard for the middle class. Talk about your biblical end of days. I am pretty sure that when that time comes, there will be a Republican majority in charge.
Afraid that is not saying much !
Hmmm. there seems to be a bit of in-fighting going on inside the Planters jar.
Cain is correct, he is more qualified than Ms. Bachmann; she`s spent years on television instead of sponsoring and passing legislation,
Cain, on the other had led Godfather`s pizza to a 20% DROP in EMPLOYMENT and a position as the 10th ranked pizza company.
This IS NOT the performance America wants.
this woman is a nut.....I have a cat that is more qualified than her
Cain is right. He is much more qualified to be President than Bachmann. Unfortunately, Cain is also monumentally unqualified to be President.
ANYONE is more qualified than Bachmann! But Cain has about as much chance getting an endorsement as the dog catcher does. Stick to pizza, Mister Cain!
DElusional, all the rightwing retugs and LOONS are just delusional
The only possible reaction to this is AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
At least the man is sane
Tough decisions????
Pepperoni or sausage real tough.

I am always very leery of anyone who has simplistic approaches to very complicated issues!

How about Obama's approach... make even the simplest issues complicated and laced with drama? He needs a room full of political advisors to figure out what to do about the debt limit and then they all come up with the answer we knew he wanted in the first place. Raise taxes.
Not exactly shooting high here.
My cat is more qualified than Bachmann and my dog more qualified than Cain!
I dunno....he seems kinda angry. he scares me.
TWO IMPORTANT POINTS:
(1.) – Having experience as a CEO of a corporate pizza chain, is not an absolute guarantee that it will make you a better President. There is no evidence of this in America's 235 year history. The nation has had successful Presidents that came as war heroes (Washington, Grant, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Bush-1), and successful Presidents that came out of Hollywood (Reagan), and successful President that came from poor beginnings (Lincoln, Obama); but no successful President from the ranks of CEO of a major corporation.
(2.) – CEO's of major corporations are dictators whose primary allegiance is to the share holders. Therefore the CEO has no interest in the "family and humane" aspect of a corporation. The job of the CEO is to cut paychecks, cut people, and buy & dismember the competition. The CEO has no understanding of leadership through democracy.
I have a sock puppet that is more qualified than Bachmann, and it would also give Cain a run for the money
I hate Godfather's pizza. But, really I'm better than Bachmann? My cat is smarter than Bachmann. Uses the litter box, wants a clean water bowl, knows when the food bowl is empty.
Dude! Barbie is more qualified that Bachmann!
