(CNN) – During an interview with me that we just taped for The Situation Room, former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf told me he believes Texas Gov. Rick Perry will run for president of the United States.

That's significant because the two men met in Austin last week.

We don't want or need the opinion of "the former harborer of terror leader" Musharaff.

...[yawn]... Too much, I suppose, to suggest that Musharraf keep his nose in his own country's business? Pakistan isn't exactly enjoying American favoritism to date ... ranking right up there with Musharraf opinions on a scale of *don't care* to *really don't care*.

well Perry there's your major endorsement right there. I wonder how that will go over with the Tea party bunch.

  4. The Greedy Old Pigs have lost their minds!

And with Musharraf's endorsement, Perry will get over the hump for victory (in his own delusional mind).

Seriously, though, Perry is a disaster that would make current WPE GWB look like Abe Lincoln. Perry has completely blown a hole in his state's budget (over $26 BILLION). Perry is so insanely stupd he shouldn't be allowed near a butter knife, let alone government.

G.W.Bush “"truly is somebody who believes in democracy." about Pervez Musharraf

Donald Rumsfeld “I preferred the Musharraf government.” And this also “"I think Musharraf, when he made the decision to cooperate with us, took a bold step.”

Pervez Musharraf got those credit keeping Osama Bin Laden under his eye

Now its not surprise why Pervez Musharraf like Rick Perry to run

    Simple Money and power

  8. The Real Tom Paine

Like I've said before about this: its one ruthless dictator giving his opinion/support of another one. Maybe Perry has taken notes on how to eliminate/ assassinate your opponants.

    Christian Madrassas, anyone?

Maybe Perry agreed to keep sending him money to harbor the terrorists and keep them hidden from us.

  11. Republicans - The Not Intended To Be Factually Accurate" Party

Why is CNN holding up the non-American as a credible commentator on an American election?

So Guv Goodhair wanted to establish his foreign policy credentials with this guy? Musharraf said Perry "invited him
to share views"– about what, the demise of Osama bin Ladin?
Goes to judgment folks, and the fact that this foreigner knows more about Perry's "intentions" before the American
people do, speaks volumes. Go run for President in Pakistan, Perry.

I wonder how the country would feel if Obama mandated your teenage daughters get an HPV vaccine..........exactly, Perry is not electable and is a fraud, Texas Tea Partiers don't even like him.

A former democrat turned republican because in texas the republicans get most of the oil kickbacks, just ask old BP apologizing Joe Barton.

Rick Perry anywhere NEAR the White House would be a big mistake. Take it from a person that lives in Texas.

No more republican governors as president. Look at Wisconsin, NJ, MI, PA, OH, just to name a few that have become FASCIST governors.

In Pakistan, where Pervez Musharraf was president, Islam is THE state religion and sharia law applies.
Rick Perry has been 'called' to political office, and is going to hold a 'prayer rally' in a Houston stadium.
I think Perry dreams of US where his church is recognized as THE state religion.
