Boehner: My last offer's still on the table

Washington (CNN) - House Speaker John Boehner said Sunday that his last offer to the White House remains on the table despite his weekend decision to break off talks over a deal to raise the federal debt ceiling.

Boehner told "Fox News Sunday" that his previous offer included $800 billion in projected new federal revenue over 10 years from a "fairer, flatter" tax code, not higher tax rates. But the talks broke down last week when President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats resisted "real cuts in spending," according to Boehner, R-Ohio.

The unmitagated gaul of this man! Offering a plan that has been rejected, and rightfully so, by the Dems and Obama. Hey Boner, I have a word for you. I know you won't recognize it. It is compromize. Somewhere between complete disdain for the middle class and poor and the taxing of the unreasonably wealthy lies a solution. Find it please that is why we sent you to Congress do your job!!

John Boehner you can't be this dumb. you have to rise taxes Or let the BUSH TAX CUTS to stop. It not like they work anyway. And your Idea that rise tax will cost JOBS Is a bunch of crap. It more people working and the more Business will make. Stopping over 50 Million check Is the dumbest thing to do. Just think of all the Business Is going to be lost If you Republican can't get a deal done now.And how many Jobs will be lost to, with no business that Company are not going to need that many people working for them. Even you can see this. But not only this will happen you will all so destroy American why you keep your stand on this. What I really don't believe Is If America default on It Dept and America can't pay It bill , that you Republican think you are going to get Reelected , Than you are really dumb. Because you will lose Control of the House and seat It the Senate, and you are even making the President looking better because he trying to Compromise and the Republican are Not.

  3. The Obama Recession Continues Unabated, Obama Depression on the way

Its sad to see how ignorance prevails common sense. People who would benefit the most from entitlement and social programs are fooled into believing that the republicans are on their side. They let their blind hatred get the best of them and vote against their own interest. Republicans don't care about you or I. Ignorance is NOT bliss.

Maybe because they are more interested in their kids future and the future of this country instead of how much they can milk the system for, like too many of your ilk. Liberals, "progressives" and Democrats have dedicated themselves to class warfare and have developed a massive group of people dependent on the government confiscating others money thru the tax code to give it to them to reward them for their vote. The US tax code has been turned into a corrupt system by the liberals, "progressives" and Democrats.

I would like to add that we have three unfunded wars, an unfunded medicare prescription plan and run away spending on programs that don't necessarily benifit the American people. How about legalization of pot. Grow it, process it, tax it and sell it. How about reforming the tax code, yeah like that will ever happen in this country, but if it did think of the jobs and tax revenue. Start promoting green energy it could be the boost that internet gave us during the Clinton years. You guys have a very narrow view of the future and it adds up to SOS.

The statements by liberals against the Balanced Budget admendment is a little curious. Liberals point to the Clinton years with pride as being great economic times and even a surplus. There was no surplus because Clinton was counting Social Security revenues in with regular revenues, BUT it was all done after the Republicans took control of the Congress in 1995 and the House passed a balanced budget admendment and the Senate let it fail by one vote. Clinton was smart enough to go along with the message and the Budget was balanced for the last four years of his administration. with the Republican House and Senate..

I am proud of the way Speaker Boehner has stood up to the Washington spending folly that we have been watching. This is what he and the other Republicans were elected to do and they are not disappointing. Finally the taxpayer, the unemployed and the next generation of Americans are being represented. The election system works for the voters.
