Washington (CNN) – Shortly after President Obama's address on the debt ceiling negotiations Monday night, problems were reported with the web pages of at least two Republicans, House Speaker John Boehner and Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota.
An error message on Boehner's site said "The web page cannot be found," and Bachmann's website said the "Server is too busy."
"There were temporary issues with sites hosted by outside vendors - many have been resolved," a spokeswoman for House Administration Committee said.
Both websites were operating normally by early Tuesday.

Good, maybe the public listened and they were trying to contact representatives.
Also could not reach Senator Jim DeMint of SC!!
congress is acting the most idiotic in nation's history. Just defeat mercilessly in 2012. We need Debt Ceiling raised. Past 20 years, 75 times, Bush era 10 times raised. Raise Taxes on wealthy. o.k, cut defense. We need no wars. Practically Iraq war broke this nation fiscally. Congress idiots need to know this.....Obama2012. Do not cut medicare, and social security. Don't give social security to priest of India because they did not contribute a dime to the system. These guys are braking our system....Obama2012. Pass strict immigration too....now is the time....
Same old GOP Help the rich step all over the poor, way to go guys.
What I like about Michelle Bauchmann is her ability to create a sensible compromise.... Dang, I crack me up.
First question. How old is that picture of the flake and the weeper?
Yes, I bet their sites were overly busy! The weeper finally listened tohis phone messages and I bet there was very little love for him and his teatards?
Besides hell no did thd orange man say what the rethugs are going to do beside continued tax breaks fof the koch handlers and othdper rich people?
You can add Rep. Peter Roskom to that list along with Sen. Mark Kirk.
It was not just the web sites of these two. I could not get to the pages for my Senator or Representative all night.
I eventually gave up.
Stay strong Speaker Boehner! We are 100% behind you.
Worst. Republican. Congress. Ever. Will. Be. Voted. Out. 2012.
The Liberal Media at it's best.
This "Photo" is a "Pure Answer" as to Proof,"Bohner is Teaparty!!!! All Gop are Teaparty?? All Minorities, workingclass, and poor, elderly, and our childrens education, "Run For Your Lives" Prepare yourselves for "The Streets" Like Germany in the late 1930,s, "Run for your Lives"!!!!!!
They say they talk for the “American People”? So funny that all lines are dead when the American People want to talk to them. I am sure; they would have heard what most Americans say: Stop the BS and raise the depth ceiling! GOP/TP so disgusting!!!
Boehner was caught on tape after his speech saying he was not put here to go head to head with the president of the United States of America.....huh ??...wasn't that what he just did?
Could not reach NC Senator Richard Burr (R) by email this morning, had to call. Nothing wrong with NC Senator Kay Hagan (D) email connection. Will fax my comments to Burr, as well.
I believe that Boehner ego is bruised,he hcan't even control the GOP members much less the demos. He is a sad individual who is in over his head. This is typical of LONG TIMF government employees ,they hang on long enough to become a senior then they can't handle it.He needs to lay off the bottle also.
Let me guess,.. 50 million Americans phoned in to demand the debt ceiling be raised,.. and the Koch Brothers phoned in saying it shouldn't. Boehner and Bachmann will spin it, saying the majority of Americans are against raising it
Boehner's contact page is overloaded at 9:30AM, if a page does load, it says "Server is too busy".
Boehner is playing politics. He doesn't want to agree with any plan that is a "Democratic" plan. He wants to make sure it is known the Republican plan is the one agreed to.
Unfortunately for you and me, Republican's and Democrats play this game all the time. They don't care about us, they just care about getting re-elected. Everyone is afraid to cross party lines.
They are probably having issues with their website because Obama told the American people to contact their senators. So Boehner and Bachmann are purposely having their websites display too busy messages.
maybe we're so mad because we feel so powerless and want the "powers that be" to make nice and make everything be okay.
but it won't happen that way. the "powers that be" are doing the best they can in their deluded thinking–and it's not enough.
time to get rid of scapegoats and saviors and become co-creators and make a conscious choice to be a part of something that emphasizes "WE" consciousness. "ME" consciousness is on its way out the door, whether or not we like it.
Nunti Sunya–to transparency and expansion
I had the same problem trying to contact Sen. Mark Kirk.
For a party that vowed to bring the president of the most powerful country in the world down no matter what good he does just goes to tell you the power of hatred. A party that have Rush, Rove and Grover as their role model. Americans you are smart people and the whole world look up to you. Do not destroy the good work of the founding fathers by listening to those ideologues for they spread nothing but hatred
There were temporary issues with sites hosted by outside vendors – many have been resolved,
WRONG! Its 10:04 EDT and Bohener's website is still offline, and Bachmann's, as well as every other Republican website I have tried still returns Server Too Busy
