Palin: Obama's 'fear mongering'

(CNN) – Sarah Palin accused President Obama of "scaring" the American people over the importance of raising the debt ceiling before the August 2 deadline.

"Scaring the American people is exactly what President Obama is doing," Palin said Tuesday night on Fox News. "The president's getting pretty good at this fear mongering and trying to cram down the public's throat this idea of bigger government, more spending."

Although the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee said she respects House Speak John Boehner's efforts to negotiate with the president, she said there is a larger problem with his strategy.

"The internal problem that he has is reinventing the wheel here in the 11th hour, when we already have Cut, Cap and Balance that passed the House, and we don't need to retreat now and wave a white flag," Palin said.

The Republican-controlled House passed "Cut, Cap, and Balance," a plan that failed to pass the Democratic-controlled Senate last week. The pledge includes cuts and caps in spending and a balanced budget amendment to the constitution. Boehner is now trying to put forward a plan that includes the framework of the pledge in a deal that could become law. Obama is advocating for a "balanced approach" to the crisis that would combine spending cuts and no extension of Bush-era tax cuts for families making more than $250,000 a year.

Palin, who is considering a bid for the White House in 2012, has said raising the debt ceiling is inevitable, but that Republicans "better get something out of it."

"This August 2 deadline is looming, but it's not Armageddon, it's not life-or-death, so Boehner and the Republicans have got to make sure that they've got a good plan in front of those who will be voting on this plan," Palin said.

As usual, Mrs Plain (pun intended) spouts off criticizing others while not coming up with any solutions of her own.

As in a work place, if you want to complain about how something's being done, people will tend to listen to you if you have an alternative solution. Otherwise, complaints and criticism will fall on deaf ears.

What did she say?..........Republicans "better get something out of it." How about doing what is good for the American people?! Maybe there is some fear mongering going on.....if anyone should be able to recognize it, it would be Palin. She's an artist at fear mongering.

Sarah Palin continues to be irrelevant. Who cares what see thinks. While the US is faced with severe economic challenges and challenges to who we are as a nation, I doubt Ms. Palin fully understands the gravity of the issues. It is 14 minutes and 59 seconds...go somewhere and sit down!!!

Yep, the last time the Republicans controlled the White House most of us seniors lost our Retirement Programs! Most who didn't lost between 30% and 40% of their retirement moneys with no way to recover, like those who actually own stocks. Those people were able to deduct their losses through their Income Tax. No the Markets are in a downward spiral again because the Republicans refuse to compromise with the Democrats. So here we go again. By the way, here in Texas Rick Perry, the longest serving Governor of Texas, had a deficit of 27 Billion dollars, and the Texas Teachers are having to make up his losses! Teachers recieving either same pay, or salries reduced at the will of the Superintendents. Teachers furloughed for up to 7 days, NO PAY, in order to put money back into the losses for the Republican controlled Texas Congress. Most Republican states all have the same problems as does Rick....too much of the Bush ideas.

CNN-If you insist (God only knows why) on having articles on this incompenent attention seeker, at least move the info to the entetainment section. She is not a politician. She quit her job as gov, simply cannot handle any criticism or ANY political position. She is tabloid trash-as is her daughter (who makes money off of talking about her teenage sex life). Over 300 comments here say the same, is anyone listening at CNN??????

Now that the "wise" Sarah Palin has taken a position, I know the President must be doing it right. If anything else we have learned is that do the opposite of whatg she says, and you can't go wrong. If you don't know the facts, make some up. It works for her.

Palin and her ilk should know a thing or three about fear-mongering. That's the Republican MO. Isn't it time for her to dry up and blow away? She is just so irrelevant...and becoming more so by the hour. Ugh.

Pot, meet kettle. Talk about "fear mongering!" Woman, you linked President Obama to terrorists, chanted "lock and load" and drew cross-hairs over Democrats like Gabby Giffords. You are an idiot and you need to fade away back to the rock you crawled out from under!

What would she know when she cut and ran mid term on the people who voted her govoner of AK? Why isn't Sarah Palin more worried about how bad Hefners sex in bed is instead of something she can't comprehend like being a President for a full term!

    Dear Sarah,
The president and Congress are debating cuts to spending/deficits in exchange to the extension of the debt ceiling. Not more spending increases. The president is under lots of pressure at the moment. Now might be time for the Palin Plan; Quit, get a book deal, and follow that with a reality show. He could push his daughters into the spotlight as well. Its a win-win. No more stress, and with the aversion to taxes on the wealthy, the money will roll in. The Palin Plan.

Sarah may be dumb as a box of rocks but hey, she’s H-O-T and that’s all that matters, right? Help Sarah help herself and keep reading and looking. She’s making millions off selling her image, because it sure isn’t her wit that’s getting her this far. You can see just how scandalous she can get at

"The internal problem that he has is reinventing the wheel here in the 11th hour, when we already have Cut, Cap and Balance that passed the House, and we don't need to retreat now and wave a white flag," Palin said.

Got any more metaphors you want to add to that mix?
