(CNN) – Sarah Palin reminded Republican freshmen members of Congress Thursday of the promises they made during their 2010 campaigns and encouraged them to remain true to their fiscally conservative values as Congress debates an increase to the debt ceiling.
On her Facebook page, the former Alaska governor reprinted a letter she sent the then-newly elected members in November 2010 that called on them to tackle the deficit and entitlement programs to "avert a fiscal disaster."
"Republicans campaigned on a promise to rein in out-of-control government spending," Palin wrote in 2010. "These are promises that you must keep."
In her new post, Palin asked the representatives who received backing from the tea party movement to remember those who propelled their candidacies.
"I respectfully ask these GOP Freshman to re-read this letter and remember us 'little people' who believed in them, donated to their campaigns, spent hours tirelessly volunteering for them, and trusted them with our votes," Palin wrote. "This new wave of public servants may recall that they were sent to D.C. for such a time as this."
Palin, who is considering a bid for the White House in 2012, has said raising the debt ceiling is inevitable, but that Republicans "better get something out of it." She has also been a proponent of the "Cut, Cap, and Balance" pledge passed through the Republican-controlled House and failed in the Senate.

yeah! i would love to see palin call obam to task in a debate – i think she is the only one person with the "balls" to say it as it is.....whether you like her or not – she can deliver – and democrats are scared of her because they know she has the "balls" to say this in full view of the nation watching thier prez get schooled – don't get me wrong – obama is very well edumicated – but come on – the media did not do thier job otherwise we would not be having this conversation right now.
Sarah, nobody remembers what you said last November and nobody will remember what you said today because nobody cares. When you have something useful to say like real solutions to real problems then let us know. Until then just keep your nonsense contained to Twitter and Facebook.

When ever she speaks now I"m starting to think that there is a hidden separatists movement that is trying to allow our country to default to create a corporate state. Looking at who backs them it makes me wonder if the South is trying to rise again, and Win back what they lost during the cival war. Look up the talk the tea party is using and you will find direct ties to other separatist movements throughout time. How sad. That some well intentioned conservatives are being drawn to neo-cons and airheads who say what they want to hear while delivering the opposite. So distressing that conservatives choose to follow people who aren't as principled as they act. I can only pity the average conservative who is probably too busy making a living to actually pay attention to the hypocrisy of their political leaders. You know, those conservatives who think Obama is a nice-hearted man, but disagree with his policies.
