Palin to Congress: Remember your values (and what I said last November)

(CNN) – Sarah Palin reminded Republican freshmen members of Congress Thursday of the promises they made during their 2010 campaigns and encouraged them to remain true to their fiscally conservative values as Congress debates an increase to the debt ceiling.

On her Facebook page, the former Alaska governor reprinted a letter she sent the then-newly elected members in November 2010 that called on them to tackle the deficit and entitlement programs to "avert a fiscal disaster."

"Republicans campaigned on a promise to rein in out-of-control government spending," Palin wrote in 2010. "These are promises that you must keep."

In her new post, Palin asked the representatives who received backing from the tea party movement to remember those who propelled their candidacies.

"I respectfully ask these GOP Freshman to re-read this letter and remember us 'little people' who believed in them, donated to their campaigns, spent hours tirelessly volunteering for them, and trusted them with our votes," Palin wrote. "This new wave of public servants may recall that they were sent to D.C. for such a time as this."

Palin, who is considering a bid for the White House in 2012, has said raising the debt ceiling is inevitable, but that Republicans "better get something out of it." She has also been a proponent of the "Cut, Cap, and Balance" pledge passed through the Republican-controlled House and failed in the Senate.

Put this in your tweeter & tweet it, Sarah Palin. You are an idiot who knows nothing about how the Government operates nor anything about the budget process and debt ceiing. You and your stupid Tea Partiers are the ones who are creating this mess by worrying more about their legislative careers or re-election rather than us Americans they are supposed to be working for.

Just more proof of Palins hypocrisy and self-reghteousness. Not to mention those nasty personality traits of liar, and cruel narcissist.
Maybe congress should remember what *I* said during the last campaign – "if you think congress is gummed up now – just wait till a bunch of non-thinking, no-saying Tea Partyers are voted in." After all – I lnow at LEAST as much as she does about anything – therefore my opinion carries equal weight.
Unlike me though, Palin would be very pleased to see the US default and the resulting fiscal disaster that would run like a well-engineered domino fall across the nation. Anf why would she like this? Because she's got plenty squirrelled away and thinks she will weather it just fine and the chaos would give her a chance to grab power. She can't get it in any legitimate, Democratic way. She would be thrilled to be a destroyer – of YOU and me.

I'm not given to conspiracy theories or hysteria – but I truly believe Palin is an evil person, part of a very nasty cadre of demagogues who'd like to take us all back to a time of social (racial) elitism and servitude for the rest.
    And I'm a lily-white WASP.

PA-LEEEEZZZZ! Why do you bother giving this nit-wit the time of day? Real politicians know how to govern. Not just yap away on facebook and twitter. And they don't quit in the middle of a term just because the heat gets turned up a little on them. If that were the case Obama would have gone back home a long time ago.

Geez, the Botox has kicked in – both on her face and political philosophy. Sorry, Frankie. She doesn't so much look attractive as preserved. A mortician would be proud.

Sarah PAlin has no credibility for anything and every time she says anything, it is just to get attention for herself. That is one sick individual.

My fourth grader has a higher IQ than Pailin...but by all means listen to her. Let's see how much worse we can make things. Let's see if we can find the bottom of this pit. That IS the one thing I'm absolutely positive the Democrats and Republicans can do together!

This person contributes NOTHING to solving problems. She's all about promoting herself, and building her bank account.

I am embarrassed to be an American every time she opens her mouth and the media actually covers it.

If she were through some total fluke of nature to be elected the Canadians AND the Mexicans better prepare for the exodus of U.S. citizens that will follow. I would rather live in Iran than in a country ruled by this fanatic idiot.

So, it’s her fault that the ‘do nothing’ republicans will not compromise to fix the debt crisis and the little people will pay for it in reduced earnings from IRAs and 401Ks AND have to pay more in interest on loans…

I grifted you out of million and I'm set for life. Who cares if the economy crashes and burns.

  24. Sarah Palin does not speak for me in Ohio

She comes from the state with the highest per capita government "entitlements". She has free health care for her family through the Alaska Native program. John McCain gave her to us and she started the hateful rhetoric which is in part responsible for where we are today. She is a puppet for the far right and says what she is told without regard to its "truthiness." God help this country and the world if this woman were ever in a position of real power.

Sarah Palin believes that she is the most powerful person in politics today. She implies that her word is the impetus for all action in Washington.

I do not subscribe to what the TEA Party is doing. We elected members of Congress to vote for or against the budget that is brought to the floor by committee. We did not vote to have a Constitutional amendment as proposed by some groups. We did not vote for people to cut programs that will effect countless Americans as they struggle to make ends meet. We never voted for a war which was not funded. We did not vote for candidates who would felt that the wealthiest among us should not pay their fair share. We did not vote for candidates who have lined the pockets of big business executives of companies who have laid off hundreds of employees. Why are we allowing this to happen and why aren't we speaking up in opposition.
