Palin to Congress: Remember your values (and what I said last November)

(CNN) - Sarah Palin reminded Republican freshmen members of Congress Thursday of the promises they made during their 2010 campaigns and encouraged them to remain true to their fiscally conservative values as Congress debates an increase to the debt ceiling.

On her Facebook page, the former Alaska governor reprinted a letter she sent the then-newly elected members in November 2010 that called on them to tackle the deficit and entitlement programs to "avert a fiscal disaster."

"Republicans campaigned on a promise to rein in out-of-control government spending," Palin wrote in 2010. "These are promises that you must keep."

In her new post, Palin asked the representatives who received backing from the tea party movement to remember those who propelled their candidacies.

"I respectfully ask these GOP Freshman to re-read this letter and remember us 'little people' who believed in them, donated to their campaigns, spent hours tirelessly volunteering for them, and trusted them with our votes," Palin wrote. "This new wave of public servants may recall that they were sent to D.C. for such a time as this."

Palin, who is considering a bid for the White House in 2012, has said raising the debt ceiling is inevitable, but that Republicans "better get something out of it." She has also been a proponent of the "Cut, Cap, and Balance" pledge passed through the Republican-controlled House and failed in the Senate.

I dare say that Palin is much smarter than the people that wrote most of the posts that I've read on here.

    Good Grief!
Somebody shut her up! Stuff a sock in it already, or something!!!

There is nothing worse than the ignorant, quitter, loser, whining and complaining of Sarah Palin. . . .

I can't believe this incompetent individual is taken serious by any one. This includes her air-head daughter.

The apple really doesn't fall far from that Palin tree, lol.

"yeah! i would love to see palin call obam to task in a debate – i think she is the only one person with the "balls" to say it as it is.....whether you like her or not – she can deliver – and democrats are scared of her because they know she has the "balls" to say this in full view of the nation watching thier prez get schooled – don't get me wrong – obama is very well edumicated – but come on – the media did not do thier job otherwise we would not be having this conversation right now."

Robert – First were you born on this planet? The bottom line is just like you have just proven to everyone reading these posts, that you don't have a clue. Sarah Palin does not have a clue either. Trust me, Obama would love to be debating Sarah Palin, because it would be like stealing candy from a baby. She does not have the intelligence, knowledge, wisdom and experience to be voted Dog Catcher let alone President. She is a quitter and a gold digger. I hope you like bull poop piled high because that is the only thing she is capable of delivering. She does not understand economics, fiscal policy, foreign policy, science, technology, health care policy – want me to continue because we could write a book about what she doesn't know, but would only require a sentence or two of what she does know which is basically not much.

    Sarah Palin,

*A person who took six tries (six different University's) to finish a four year degree

*some one who came along during a vulnerable time in the Alaskan peoples life ( much like Hitler)

*failed as a presidential running mate

    *failed as a governor

    *failed as a mother, etc. . . .

Do people really listen to what she has to say!? Does anybody care!? REALLY!?

    Palin is such a dumb arsch. . . .

Palin has said raising the debt ceiling is inevitable, but that Republicans "better get something out of it." Why, Sarah? The debt ceiling has been raised 104 times since 1940, and NO ONE got anything out of it except keeping our good faith and credit with the rest of the world. Why does anyone need to "get something out of it"? This is the very first time in history (I know how much you love to re-write history, Sarah) that anything has been attached to a debt ceiling bill. It has ALWAYS been a 1-page, 1-SENTENCE bill that raises the debt ceiling. Since you, Sarah, have no knowledge of what the debt ceiling is and what it means if we default, just shut the h*ll up.

Thank goodness this whack job never got a shot at being VP.
Can anyone imagine the horrendous mess this country could be in..Not just here but with the rest of the world.. The world has enough dictators.. And when one group stonewalls and denies compromise and sticks to their own agenda over the good of all.. Is a dictator.. And we don't need or want them in office in he United States.
when can we shut the door on this media who*e and put her and her crazy agenda's behind us...She's one of those people that never says they don't understand something.. I think she would try brain surgery if some one put a scalpel in her hand..~!

John McCain this is your fault!!!! You brought this woman into our lives. I'll bet you regret that day since she is why you lost the election. She still honestly thinks she could be President. If you think our country is in trouble today partly because of her lack of knowledge of how government runs, imagine what the US would be with her in the White House.

It's incrdible how frightened the left is of Palin! All they know how to do is bash her and post how stupid they think she is. They are the most ignorant wasted pieces of flesh on this earth. Palin is the new Bush to bash because the left ALWAYS has to have someone to belittle, no matter how unwarranted it really is. Liberals refuse to tackle or see the huge crisis looming in our near future. They refuse to acknowledge that their idea of taxing the rich for ALL THEY CAN GET will hurt them the most in the long run. The economic understanding and the willingness to LEARN how things work in our govt is lost on the left. They cry the same mantras over and over instead of re-creating themselves and being held accountable for their actions or extreme lack of actions. They can't grasp that the goose who laid the golden eggs has DIED and that entitlements were and are over-promised. They don't get the fact that revenues would be increased if more people could/would find jobs and that that would get the economy rolling again. They think they can get those jobs from poor employers too!!!! What a laugh! Liberals will never be the sharpest tools in the shed. It's not in their gene pool, unfortunately.

Well our Tea Party boy in Florida Steve Southerland has landed a BIG Government contract for his hometown Panama City, Florida. Creating 300 jobs, however we all know that Government doesn't create jobs (according to Tea Party), where will the money come from, (since we're broke). I think the Tea Party mantra is Cut Cap and Balance, (unless it's on them). I'm sure Mr. Southerland is holding his ground on the Debt Ceiling vote, all the while spending spending spending in his hometown. In my hometown however Mr. Southerland secured a government contract for a munitions company that is owned by off-shore interest. This company doesn't pay a living wage nor benefits to it's workers, and they just laid off most of the Administration, the ones that did make a good wage, had benefits, and had worked there for years, several were getting ready to retire soon. Thanks Mr. Southerland and Tea Party
