Giffords returns to House for debt vote

Washington (CNN) – U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, grievously wounded during a January assassination attempt, returned to the floor of the House of Representatives Monday evening to vote in support of a plan to raise the U.S. debt ceiling.

Giffords was met by a wave of applause from colleagues as she walked into the chamber to support the hard-fought measure, passed a day before a deadline for the government to face possible default. It was the Arizona Democrat's first vote since being shot through the head at a meeting with her Tucson-area constituents January 8.

What a total betrayal of Low & Medium Income Americans at the hands of the Tea Party/Wall Street Cult and the "Pardon Me I Have No Political Spine!" Obama administration. Democratic please refrain from drafting this individual from heading your 2012 presidential ticket. Bernie Sanders, Gary Johnson, Al Gore, please consider your own presidential aspirations!! america deserves more, than the same old bad choices.

I'm thrilled and inspired to see Congresswoman Gabriella Giffords returning to congress. But I'd be more thrilled if Sara Palin would be prosecuted for her "don't retreat, reload" rhetoric that inspired Loughner's deadly rampage. Let's face it, Sara palin and the GOP and their Tea Party are a bunch of domestic terrorists who preach violence and spread hate, bigotry and racism and divide America.

Furthermore, let it be known that a whole lot of lives have been sacrificed throughout our history so that we have a democracy where all of God's children are judge, not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. And as the architect of our constitution, Thomas jefferson once said, "we hold these truts to be self evident that all men are created equal and they are endowned by their creator with certain unalienable rights that among them are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." But unfortunately, the likes of Sara Palin, the GOP and their Tea Party seem to believe that that sacred doctrine applies only to they and their families and the rest of America are irrelevant. God have mercy on your souls.
