Congressman calls Obama a 'tar baby'

Washington (CNN) – In the heat of the political debate over the debt ceiling last week, Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colorado) may have crossed the line when he said that being associated with President Obama would be similar to touching a "tar baby".

"Even if some people say, well the Republicans should have done this or they should have done that, they will hold the president responsible," said Lamborn said Friday during an interview on a Denver radio station. "Now I don't want to even have to be associated with him. It's like touching a tar baby and you get, you get it, you know… you are stuck and you are part of the problem now and you can't get away."

Bad luck, this poor fella probably never had a racist thought in his mind when he said this but was just thinking how the President is going to own this one and never be able to get away from it. He would have probably never said it had he realized how it would sound. Sometimes we all just say things that come out differently than we meant them. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. But I suppose this will be his .....well, you know.

Unbelievable. I thought only people like Glen Beck were stupid enough to make comments like this.

The birthers must be proud of congressman Lamborn . . .and hence, the EXTREME RIGHT has finally shown its true face.

What's next – will you idiots send one of your "Timothy McVeighs in the making" so that they can stab another NYC taxi driver?

Lamborn – you are a hideous disgrace. Maybe do the human race a favor, and become extinct.

No he didn't. He was only kidding. Isn't this the same as all the other times the GOP has used buzz-words or slurs to refer to Obama?? It's not what they meant. C'mon LameStream Media.

    "Tar Baby", hahahaha...
Is America splitted into Two like the political parties???
How about Americans who are neither Republican nor Democrat?? Can they be American?? Are they going to be asked/noticed, when they seek medicine, jobs, etc.???
The News medias never reported these systematic divisions. But, it keep happening still now.
Since the local Government Officials keep funding for Americans to live in divided communities, in reality, America is not One like what we think. Think twice.

    Right now, ..........

Republicans have had no respect for Obama since day one but they fail to realize millions upon millions of people will punish them at the polls for pulling the country towards the total brink of destruction in the past 10 years so they can continue to treat the President like crap all they want, he will still be President in 2013.

Lamborn (R-Colorado) crosses the line? Why? He feels bad about no taxes for the off-shore, out-sourcing 'job creators?" He and the other Republican Inglourious Basterds don't have to worry about a tar baby upsetting their big fat bellies when they already look like a chunk of vomit. Lamborn especially. To quote another chunk held in high esteem by the Tea Party Reublican frontline: Just sayin' Hey, read your history: Pouring hot tar on naked British soldiers and parading them around until they died in agony while the chunks cheered on was a favorite occupation of the original tea party in Boston. Wit a minute, I take it all back. Does this mean I don't have to pay rent?
