Obama, Boehner discuss ways to break FAA funding stalemate

Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama called House Speaker John Boehner to discuss ways to break the current political stalemate over funding for the Federal Aviation Administration, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Thursday.

"Conversations continue as we look for ways to resolve this," Carney told reporters. "We hope a solution can be found." The president's call to the speaker occurred Wednesday, he said.

Let's see: the president HAD to call the Speaker to get to work for a change. Oh, I forgot he's tired now that he has robbed the American people and held us hostage for an agreement that only the devil would think is fair. There used to be a time I would at least listen to what a [R] had to say not anymore. They are evil, racist spawns of the devil who should NEVER be put in charge of anything and I hope they are ALL voted out.

Sec. Lahood is a republican and he says your full of horse manure republicns. This situation is totally unacceptable and the people will hold every republican member of Congress accountable. And if you keep playing with peoples livelihood, you may be held to account alot sooner than next November.

Obama: "How about we pass a clean bill like we have the past 20 times...you know, since this is routine, ministerial sh-t and the union rules and small potato money involved in those rural airports do't really have anything to do with it?"

Boehner: "Dude, I can't. You gotta help me here. These ideologues we created, encouraged and set loose in the House are already ready to rip my arms off and beat me with them for not causing a default. Can't we just screw the unions just a little bit? Please?"

Obama: "Nope. You stepped in it this time, pal. There's thousands of jobs on the line here, thousads of families without paychecks, and the connection between your attempt to turn a routine authorization bill into union-busting and the fact that Delta airlines is behind this...well, that will be pretty easy to make apparent to the public. Here, have a tissue....stop getting snot on my table."

Boehner: "Fine then. But we're going to blame you anyway. After all, we targetted some of those rural airports in Dem districts so we could claim it was all the Dems' faults there's another gridlock because they were protecting their district's money."

Obama; "Do what you must. Tell Astroturf Frankenstein I said hi. At least you've got that sweet Congressional health insurance for when they rip your arms off."

Why is he calling Boehner??!!! He should be calling that incompetent buffoon Harry Reid. The bill is sitting in the SENATE unacted upon. I guess Harry Reid is just more interested in getting back home to his pomegrante trees!!! I can't believe the people of Nevada voted this clown back in. Now others are paying for it with their jobs. He should resign in shame.

Hmm. Dow's down 350. Which is it, I wonder? Republican controlled Congress debt ceiling demands were too great. Or, Republican controlled Congress fails to produce jobs as promised? Both, I suspect. Gotta give it to you GOPers. Give you a inch and you all take a mile. Happened with a Republican President and Congress, and, once again, now in 2010, with a Republican controlled House. Can't say giving you folks the purse strings is encouraging much progress. Quite the opposite, actually. Back to the old downhill slope, aren't we?

Obama should just go direct to Boehners boss the Tea Party, no sense having a middle man when you can go direct, this will save time as Boehner has to get their permission anyways. Let Boehner do something that he is good at like golfing.

The republicans (with a deal from Delta Airlines to help out) are union-busting.

If you've enjoyed 40-hour work-weeks, paid vacations, sick leave, safe working conditions (miners especially), and the minimum wage getting raised every now and then, you can kiss all those things good-bye. There are already republican-governed states over-riding the child-labor laws so they can hire kids at a cheap rate, kick them out when they turn 18 an hire more CHEAP KIDS. It's coming folks, all it takes is a few more republicans and teabaggers. Vote dem, or lose your rights – even voting rights, women's rights, etc. are on the line in those red states.
