Obama signs bill ending partial FAA shutdown

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama signed legislation Friday temporarily restoring full funding to the Federal Aviation Administration, breaking a political impasse and allowing roughly 4,000 furloughed federal employees to return to work.

The measure also promises to restore tens of thousands of jobs in the construction industry and elsewhere tied to airport improvement projects put on hold as a result of the funding shortfall.

They are circumventing all of the politics the House Republicans put into the bill, on which they refused to negotiate prior to voting on it.

The House cut Democratic pork while leaving Repubilcan pork in the bill. Sen. Reid brought home the bacon for all.

Hear the drum beat, Ameria? Pay attention, because more union jobs are about to bite the dust. GOPers have gone from de-unionizing statewide (in no particular order of importance) teachers, firefighters, police officers unions, to now setting there sight on federal unions such as the FAA. Heck, here in Minnesota, 1200 Crystal Sugar folks have been locked out of further Union negotiations in the Fargo/Moorhead region. Not that Crystal Sugar has in any way lost their lucrative yearly profits, mind you. Chopping others off at the knee whenever possible is the new Republican way. My husband's been there, done that: lost his union job of 28 years in 2007. Believe me, it's a truly ugly process of job elimination. What's a few here, a few there, in the grand scheme of keeping folks in line, eh, GOPers?

Union-busting at the national level. The obstructionists are targeting airports in democrat-held districts. Can anybody honestly say we need ONE PARTY ONLY??

When the wierdos and crazies from the republican party attack the president for the 500 point drop in the market yesterday, does that mean they give him credit for the market going from 6500 to almost 12,000 in two years?

Totally incompetent Harry Reid and the Democrats. Failing to do their job then trying to blame others, AS USUAL. Screwing over working Americans while he runs back home to gaze upon and hug his pomegranate trees. Thansk a lot Nevada for putting this buffoon back in the Senate.
